For the second straight week, an NFL game is taking place across the pond in London, England, with Giants vs Packers. This game marks the first time ever that two teams with winning records do battle in the NFL International series.

Aaron Rodgers and co. have won three straight, defeating the Patriots in overtime in Week 4, while the Giants took care of the Bears to improve their record to 3-and-1.

Green Bay was always going to be the favorite in this matchup, and they’re an eight-point favorite on the spread with QB Daniel Jones trending towards playing. These teams have battled just three times since 2016 (including playoffs) with the Pack coming out on top in each instance.

Green Bay is also predicted to win 14.2-10.7 based on our formula.

Like last week’s Vikings vs Saints classic, kickoff at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is set for 9:30 am ET. It’s expected to be partly cloudy all game. Winds will gust around 18 miles per hour consistently. NFL Network is carrying the broadcast in the United States.

Giants And Packers Off To Strong Starts

It may not have exactly looked very pretty through the first quarter of games for the Packers, but after an opening Week 1 stumble in Minnesota, they’ve won their last three contests. It all started with a 17-point win over the Bears in their home opener, then a two-point triumph in Tampa Bay and a three-point OT victory against the Pats.

The Giants, meanwhile, have been pesky under first-year coach Brian Daboll. Their three wins have been by a combined twelve points, and they also dropped a seven-point affair with hated NFC East rival Dallas in Week 3.

According to Pro Football Focus, the Pack are the eleventh-ranked team through four weeks (fifth on offense, 22nd on defense). Perhaps it’s smoke and mirrors for the G-Men, as they’re ranked second worst overall by PFF (31st in offense, 26th on defense).

Injury Report

Green Bay has a relatively decent bill of health ahead of the game. Only TE Marcedes Lewis (rest) and DT Devonte Wyatt did not practice. Safety Adrian Amos, who didn’t play versus the Pats with a concussion, was a limited participant. As was LT David Bakhtiari, S Tariq Carpenter, RT Elgton Jenkins, WR Allen Lazard and C Josh Myers.

Star cornerback Jaire Alexander was a full participant even though he’s been dealing with a groin injury.

The Giants had five players who didn’t make the trip across the pond – receivers Kadarius Toney and Kenny Golladay, defensive lineman Henry Mondeaux, linebacker Azeez Ojulari and CB Cor’Dale Flott.

Perhaps most importantly, starting QB Daniel Jones (ankle) was a full participant. Backup QB Tyrod Taylor has been ruled out. A slew of other players were limited – Leonard Williams, Evan Neal, Richie James, Julian Love, Nick McCloud, Fabian Moreau and Wan’Dale Robinson.

63% of the handle has been placed for the Packers to cover, with 70% of bets on the over in Giants vs Packers NFL betting trends, with a whopping 86% of wagers on Green Bay to win on the moneyline.

Giants vs Packers Prediction

The Packers’ fourth-round rookie WR Romeo Doubs has developed a chemistry with Aaron Rodgers with TDs in back-to-back weeks to put him in the top five of NFL OROY odds. That would be a huge boon to start to put up more points. GB has the fourth-rated rush offense, and that’s something they could exploit against New York’s 24th-ranked run D.

Through four games, no Giants contests have gone over the 41 points listed for this one. Last week was the first time a Packers battle went over the 41 number.

The Pick:

  • Packers -8 (-110); 1 unit to win 0.89 units
  • UNDER 41 (-110) 1 unit to win 0.91 units

2022 record: 5-4; +0.85 units
