One game to decide who wins the AFC South division and goes to the playoffs on Saturday with the home side Jacksonville Jaguars (8-8, 8-7-1 ATS) favored by 6.5-points in the NFL odds against the Tennessee Titans (7-9, 8-6-2 ATS).

In a complete reversal of trends, the Jaguars enter this contest having won five of their last six, while the Titans have crumpled down the stretch, losing six in a row as they get set for this season finale.

Those streaks don’t matter much anymore, as whoever wins this game between the Titans and Jaguars moves on to the postseason and puts what happened in the previous 18 weeks behind them. Kickoff for this one is scheduled for 8:15 pm ET on Saturday, January 7th in a game that can be seen on ESPN and ABC from TIAA Bank Field.

So which players do we expect to shine with everything on the line? We go through all the odds in the Titans vs Jaguars NFL player props below and give you our predictions and picks.

Seeing his first NFL action in two years, Josh Dobbs acquitted himself admirably against the Cowboys last week throwing for one touchdown, one interception and 232 yards. That performance was enough for coach Mike Vrable to hand him the start over Malik Willis for this crucial encounter.

On the other side, while Trevor Lawrence didn’t live up to the expectations in his rookie season under Urban Meyer, new coach Doug Pederson has breathed life and confidence into the Jags signal caller. He’s thrown for 12 more scores and nine less picks this year, although he hasn’t thrown for a touchdown in his last two outings.

Night time in January doesn’t usually make you think of great weather, but luckily for these teams, with this game in Florida, the forecast is calling for temperatures of 55 degrees fahrenheit with little wind and no precipitation.

Pick #1: Zay Jones Over 56.5 Receiving Yards

In the last couple of weeks, the Jaguars have absolutely dominated opponents leading to a lot of rushing plays for the offense in the second half. Trevor Lawrence only has 52 pass attempts combined in the last two weeks after throwing 42 times in each of his previous two contests, including on December 11th against Tennessee.

Less passing attempts meant less catches for Zay Jones who was targeted just nine times in the last couple of games. We expect that to change Saturday night when the Jags face a Tennessee team with a secondary that is ranked in the bottom 10 in the league.

The Jags wideout caught eight balls for 77 yards last month against the Titans and we expect him to get at least that many yards again in this one. In addition, Jones is due a 500K bonus if he gets 98 receiving yards in this game and it’s likely he whispered that nugget of information into his QB’s ear at some point this week.

  • Prop Pick: Zay Jones Over 56.5 Receiving Yards (-115), 1 unit

Running backs from both sides, Travis Etienne and Derrick Henry have the shortest odds to score touchdowns in this one with the Jags tailback owning the shortest anytime TD odds at -125.

Props Pick #2: Derrick Henry Strikes First

He’s been the King of the running game in the NFL for the last few years and if the Titans are going to have any chance to win this one, they’ll be relying on their big horse at running back.

After sitting out last week’s contest with a hip injury, the Titans 6’3, 247 pound power back should be raring to go right out of the chute. Expect Tennessee to give him the ball early and often, especially once they get anywhere near the goal line.

The beautiful thing about Henry’s game is that he can power through short runs as well as break off huge carries to put six on the board for his team. In his last three games, he has two carries of 48 yards or more.

Also, he has historically dominated the Jags defense, scoring touchdowns against six of the last seven times they’ve met. In total, he has 13 scores in their seven previous meetings, so if you’re going to pick anyone to do some early damage, choose King Henry who was born and raised in a suburb of Jacksonville.

As for an anytime TD scorer, let’s go for some juicy odds and pick Marvin Jones Jr. here. Lawrence has multiple options to throw with three pass catchers primed to have 70+ catches and 800+ receiving yards by season’s end.

None of those includes Jones Jr., although he did have his second-best statistical performance of the season last week with six receptions for 61 yards. The Jags wideout only has three TD’s so far this year, but Lawrence spreads out the ball, so we’re going to roll with some great odds at +320 and pick Marvin to end the year on a great note.

Touchdown Prop Picks:

  • Derrick Henry First TD (+450), 1 unit
  • Marvin Jones Jr. Anytime TD (+320), 0.5 units
  • 2022 NFL Player Props Picks Record, 8-5, +4.89 units
