Week 2 Passing Prop – Jared Goff Passing Touchdowns

These teams played last season in October and there were a combined 93 points and 1,075 yards of offense between them with Seattle winning 48-45. This time the Seahawks vs Lions total is set at 47.5 points.

While topping those numbers may be hard to do this time around, both quarterbacks and specifically Jared Goff, could still put up some comparable passing yards. Geno Smith was 23/30 for 320 yards and two TDs for Seattle. Goff was 26/39 for 378 yards with four TDs and one INT.

Despite throwing no TDs last week, Matthew Stafford, without Cooper Kupp just threw all over the Seahawks for 334 yards in a 30-13 road win. Both Tutu Atwell and Puka Nacau eclipsed the 100-yard mark and finished with 119 receiving yards.

That’s great news for Goff and his receivers this week who are coming off a season opening 21-20 road win Kansas City where Goff threw for 253 yards and one score.

In 17 games last season Goff through for multiple touchdowns in nine, including in five of his final seven.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Jared Goff over 1.5 passing touchdowns (-175); risk 1 unit at Bet365

Week 2 Rushing Prop – Bijan Robinson Rushing Yards

We didn’t see a whole lot of Desmond Ridder Atlanta’s Week 1 24-10 win over the Carolina Panthers. Ridder was just 15/18 for 118 yards and one score.

We did see a lot of the running game. Falcons’ head coach Arthur Smith called 26 run plays that saw Tyler Allgeier rush 15 times for 75 yards and two TDs and rookie Bijan Robinson rush ten times for 56 yards. Ridder had the one other rush attempt.

The Packers routed the Bears 38-20 but four players combined for 122 yards on the ground, led by QB Justin Fields with 59. Three of those four finished with 20 yards or more and all four averaged 3.0 yards per rush or higher.

The 56 yards Robinson rushed for last week are right about where this week’s line is set in the Week 2 player props at 54.5. I’m not expecting too much from Ridder so the ground game should be leaned on again for the Falcons. One or both of Robinson and Allgeier should see a heavy dose of touches. As of this writing, Allgeier’s props aren’t posted so let’s ride with the rookie.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Bijan Robinson over 54.5 rushing yards (-110); risk 1 unit at Bet365

Week 2 Receiving Prop – Amon-Ra St Brown Receptions

Amon-Ra St Brown’s receptions prop is set at 6.5 in Week 2, a number he would’ve fallen under in Week 1 as he finished with six catches, 71 yards and one TD, while averaging 11.8 yards per catch.

That was the most catches of any Lions’ receiver. He also saw the most targets with nine.

While he didn’t hit seven catches last week, it was very much a number he hit and eclipsed last season most weeks. In 16 games he had 7+ catches in 13 games. Take out the one game where he only saw one target and that’s 13/15. He also finished the season with seven or more catches in 10/11.

St Brown missed the 48-45 game with Seattle last year, but TJ Hockenson and Josh Reynolds each had eight and seven catches respectively.

Last week Rams’ rookie Puka Nacua had ten catches for 119 yards as their leading receiver. If I’m targeting Goff in the passing game, surely his receivers and likely St Brown, will also fill the stat sheets for the NFL Week 2 player props.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Amon-Ra St Brown over 6.5 receptions (-130); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Week 2 Receiving Prop – Darren Waller Receiving Yards

The Giants were smacked around by the Cowboys on SNF. No one had a good day and that includes TE Darren Waller who caught 3/5 passes for only 36 yards.

Waller was limited by injuries in the past two seasons playing in only nine and 11 games. But he’s just three years removed from the 2020 season where he caught 107 passes for 1,196 yards and nine touchdowns.

He’ll be licking his lips to face a Cardinals’ defense that allowed the most receptions to tight ends (101), the third-most receiving yards (1,084) and the most touchdowns (12).

We targeted the Commanders’ TE Logan Thomas in Week 1 to go over 2.5 receptions and he finished with four catches for 43 yards. Let’s take a similar approach in Week 2 and bet Waller to go over ????? receptions for our Week 2 prop picks.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Darren Waller over 44.5 receiving yards (-125); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Week 2 Receiving Prop – Keenan Allen Receiving Yards

With Derek Carr starting is first game with the Saints last week, New Orleans claimed a close-fought 16-15 home win over Tennessee. Carr was able to throw the ball around for a total of 305 yards which saw Chris Olave finish with 112 yards, Rashid Shaheed 89 yards and two scores and Michael Thomas 61 yards.

Those three had eight, five and five receptions respectively. Tight end Juwan Johnson also had three catches for 36 yards.

Four Chargers finished with four receptions or more in a wild shootout loss to the Dolphins last week. Keenan Allen led the pack with six receptions for 76 yards, while Austin Ekeler had four catches for 47 yards and Mike Williams four for 45 yards.

Allen’s receptions total is set at 6.5 this week which he would’ve fallen under last week. This week’s game is unlikely to be as wide-open as last week so let’s instead target his receiving yardage prop of 67.5.

Two Saints’ receivers went over this number and almost a third versus the Titans last week. In Allen’s final seven games last season he went over this number five times. Add in Week 1 and that’s 6/8.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Keenan Allen over 67.5 receiving yards (-110); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Week 2 Touchdown Props – Michael Pittman Jr

Let’s break down our top touchdown prop bets for Week 1 here.

Michael Pittman Jr proved to be rookie QB Anthony Richardson’s top target in Week 1 as he pulled down eight catches for 97 yards and one score. No other Colts’ receiver had more than four catches.

Pittman had the most targets (11), followed by Josh Downs who was targeted seven times but made only three catches.

Pittman only caught four TD passes last year but two of those came in the last two weeks so he’s now found the endzone in three straight.

The Texans didn’t allow any Ravens’ receivers to find the endzone last week, but Baltimore is pretty limited in the passing game. And this week Houston could be without their top two safeties as both Jimmie Ward and Jalen Pitre are questionable and haven’t practiced this week.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Michael Pittman Jr anytime touchdown (+240); risk 1 unit at Bet365
