Rookie netminder Connor Ingram did all he could to put the Predators in a position to even the series in Game 2, but after a heartbreaking 2-1 overtime loss, Nashville have been made +190 moneyline underdogs for Game 3, giving them an implied win probability of just 34.48% to get one back.

Predators Big Home Underdogs in Game 3

Things are not looking for the Predators. After going down 2-0 in the series they now have the longest Western Conference odds of any team.

While Ingram stood on his head to give Nashville a chance in game 2, it’s another rookie, and a contender in the Calder Trophy odds during certain points of the season, that the Predators would welcome more production from.

Tanner Jeannot had 24 goals during the regular season, to lead all rookies, but hasn’t found the net once in his last 14 games stretching back to the regular season. With the Preds having netted just three goals in the first two games, Music City is desperately hoping Jeannot can break his goalless streak.

Avalanche Proving Oddsmakers Right in Stanley Cup Odds

It’s been building in Colorado. This team is stacked and primed to lift Lord Stanley’s silver chalice and that’s why they’ve been made favorites in the 2022 Stanley Cup odds.

They boasted four players in the top 20 in NHL scoring during the season with multiple guys being considered in the Hart Trophy odds throughout the year.

They’ve had six different players score in the first two games of the series led by Nathan MacKinnon with three and Norris Trophy odds favorite Cale Makar also netting a pair.

The Avs did lose their last four road games of the season, but it seems like they were leaving some extra gas in the tank for the postseason.

The Predators can take some confidence in the fact they defeated Colorado both times they met at Bridgestone Arena during the regular season.

Avalanche vs Predators Game 3 Pick

While the score was settled in overtime in game 2, the Avalanche carried the play, outshooting the Predators 50-26.
Juuse Saros status for game 3 remains up in the air, but he can’t play much better than Ingram did in goal for Nashville in game 2.

The Avalanche are hoping a game 3 win will propel them to a first round series sweep like they did to the St. Blues last year.

While expectations are that Colorado takes game 3, the Avalanche vs Predators Saturday NHL odds aren’t really good value for the Avs on the moneyline at -230.

Instead, expect the nets to be filled similar to game 1. The last two times these teams played in Nashville, they hit the over on both occasions. Also, Nashville will be extremely determined to show more offense than they did in the first two games. Bet over 6.5 goals with odds of -124 at Barstool Sportsbook.

Pick: Over 6.5 (-124)
