Super Bowl 60 Futures

Sports Betting Dime

The Seattle Seahawks won their second Super Bowl championship in the 2025-26 NFL season, hammering the Patriots 29-13 in Super Bowl 60, which was played on February 8, 2026 in Santa Clara, California. The Seahawks were not among the top contenders when futures opened, though. They were favored when the matchup was set, and had become the favorites a few weeks prior. But as you can see, they were not seen as the favorites for much of the season.

The New England Patriots served as the underdog in Super Bowl 60. Mike Vrabel’s squad was getting +197 odds to win the game.

Odds opened to win Super Bowl 60 in February and the Eagles were the early Super Bowl favorites. After the Bills, Chiefs, and Rams enjoyed some time as the favorites this season, a new favorite emerged: the Seahawks. Sportsbooks were right about Seattle, as they ended up winning the Super Bowl.

The Seahawks took over as the new Super Bowl favorite following Week 17, where the Rams, who had been the favorites the past month or so, not only lost the potential to win their division (and get the top seed), but were also upset by the Falcons. Seattle locked up their division and the #1 seed in the NFC with a Week 18 win over the 49ers. They then steamrolled the 49ers in the Divisional Round, and outdueled the Rams in an extremely entertaining NFC Championship.

The Patriots were given the second-best odds to win the Super Bowl ahead of the Conference Championships, in spite of playing the AFC Championship on the road. The fact that the game was being played against a backup QB resulted in their odds improving significantly.

Here are some notes to help answer why odds changed/moved for the top contenders for Super Bowl 60:

  • [December 30] The Rams lost to the Falcons in Week 17 and had already lost the potential of finishing in the top seed in the NFC prior to kickoff of their game. These two things were the cause of LA no longer being seen as the Super Bowl favorite after Week 17, as the Seahawks took over for the first time.
  • [November 25] The Los Angeles Rams crushed the Buccaneers on SNF of Week 12, while the Eagles lost to the Cowboys. These two outcomes resulted in the Rams taking over as the lone favorites to win the Super Bowl following Week 12.
  • [November 17] The Rams and Eagles took over as the Super Bowl favorites after they recorded wins over the Seahawks and Lions, respectively, paired with a Chiefs loss to the Broncos in Week 11.
  • [October 14] After the Bills lost a second straight game in Week 6, and the Chiefs earned a convincing win over the Lions, Kansas City reclaimed the title of Super Bowl favorite.
  • [September 16] According to sportsbooks, the Bengals’ season essentially ended after Week 2, when Joe Burrow suffered a toe injury that was projected to keep him out for around three months. Their Super Bowl odds went from as short as +2000 to as long as +7500.
  • [September 9] Buffalo’s thrilling comeback win over the Ravens resulted in the Bills taking over as Super Bowl favorites following Week 1. The Chiefs’ odds took a big hit, fading from an average of +817 prior to kickoff to as long as +1200, after their offensive line issues did not look resolved in their loss to the Chargers. Detroit was another top contender who disappointed in Week 1, as they were dominated by the Packers, resulting in their Super Bowl odds fading from +1233 to +2000.
  • [August 28] The Packers saw their Super Bowl odds improve from an average of +2029 to as short as 12-1 after trading for standout defender Micah Parsons. The move saw them jump the Rams, Commanders, and 49ers to move sixth-best odds on the board.
  • [July 22] The Baltimore Ravens took back over as the Super Bowl favorites in mid/late-July. While the movement did not come immediately after the team signed free agent corner Jaire Alexander, it’s likely the addition brought in some extra money over the following weeks, resulting in sportsbooks shortening the Ravens’ odds slightly.
  • [April 30] The NFL Draft did very little to Super Bowl odds. The Patriots saw the biggest improvement, after what was seen as a great first draft for Mike Vrabel, but only went from average odds of +9786 to +7943 and remained longshots. The Saints were the team whose odds worsened the most, going from +16286 to a little longer than +20000. This is likely the result of Derek Carr’s shoulder concerns, and drafting Tyler Shough very early.
  • [March 17] The combination of Baltimore re-signing Ronnie Stanley, and a pretty underwhelming free agency period for the Chiefs, resulted in the Ravens breaking away from Kansas City and Buffalo for the second-best odds to win Super Bowl 60 early in the offseason.
  • [March 7] The Raiders went from extreme longshots to win the Super Bowl to slightly shorter extreme longshots after acquiring Geno Smith from the Seahawks. While the QB position has been a sore spot for the team over the past couple few handful of seasons, it’s far from their only problem. Sportsbooks are also considering their external problems as well, as they find themselves in what appears to be a very difficult AFC West.
  • [February 8] Just prior to the end of the previous NFL season, the Chiefs moved to the new favorites to win Super Bowl 60. Their odds actually worsened a little, but so did all of the other top contenders. The Eagles were listed with the second-best odds at this time, which is pretty typical of the two teams who are meeting in the Super Bowl the previous season.
  • [January 19] In the very early opening Super Bowl 60 odds, the Baltimore Ravens were listed as the favorites at +500 odds. They were slightly better than the Chiefs at +550, and the first NFC team didn’t show up until fourth, which was the Lions at +850.

Super Bowl 59 Futures

Sports Betting Dime

The Chiefs were considered the favorites when we got to Super Bowl 59, with the Eagles serving as the underdogs, but both teams were doubted at different points of the 2024-25 NFL season. The Eagles silenced all doubters in the Super Bowl when they crushed the Chiefs, effectively having the game wrapped up early in the second half.

The longest odds you could have gotten on Kansas City to win the Super Bowl this season were +1000 at opening. The longest odds they had during the season was +568, which came after Week 15 when it looked like Buffalo had a real shot to take the top seed in the AFC.

The longest odds available on the Eagles to win the Super Bowl in the 2024-25 NFL season were also at opening, when you could have bet them at +2200. The longest their odds were listed during the regular season came after Week 7, which was a game they did win but Washington was starting to look very good and appeared to be a real threat to Philadelphia in the NFC East.

The San Francisco 49ers were the early Super Bowl favorites this year, even though the Chiefs took them down in last year’s big game. However, Kansas City’s 2025 Super Bowl odds continued to steadily improve throughout the spring and summer, ultimately leading to the Chiefs becoming the new Super Bowl favorites in July.

Kansas City maintained the best odds to win the Super Bowl up until losing their first game of the season, which came in Week 11 at the hands of the Bills. After the loss, the Detroit Lions took over as the new Super Bowl favorites. Those same Bills went at beat the Lions in Week 15, though, making Buffalo the Super Bowl favorite for one week.

Detroit then took back the title of favorite after Week 16, only to see the Chiefs overtake them following Week 17. This was because the Lions found themselves in a Week 18 matchup with the Vikings, where the loser would get the fifth-seed in the NFC. After the Lions won the game, locking up the top seed in the NFC, they became the Super Bowl favorites again as the NFL playoffs prepare to kickoff, and remained the favorites until they were upset by the Commanders in the Divisional Round.

Kansas City took over as the favorite again after Detroit’s loss, but it was just temporary, as the Eagles became the new favorites after beating the Rams to advance to the NFC Championship. Philadelphia was also serving as a temporary favorite, though, as they had the much easier matchup in the Conference Championships. After the Chiefs beat the Bills in the AFC Championship, they moved to the favorites to win Super Bowl 59.

Super Bowl 59 Line Movement

Here are some notes on the movement of the top contenders for Super Bowl 59:

  • [February 9] The Eagles beat the Chiefs 40-22 to win Super Bowl 59.
  • [January 27] After the Eagles and Chiefs won their respective Conference Championships to advance to Super Bowl 59, Kansas City opened as 1.5-point favorites to win the 2025 Super Bowl.
  • [January 19] As suspected, Philadelphia took over as the favorite to win the Super Bowl following their win over the Rams. The Eagles are being listed as the favorites because sportsbooks believe they have an easier path to the Super Bowl, as they prepare to host the Commanders.
  • [January 18] Detroit, who was favored to win the Super Bowl when the Divisional Round started, was surprisingly upset by the Commanders in the second round of the NFL Playoffs. The Chiefs became the new Super Bowl favorites after the Lions’ loss, but the Eagles were very close behind, meaning if they manage to advance to the Conference Championships, they would overtake Kansas City as the favorites. Washington’s Super Bowl odds improved from +3000 to +550 after the big win, which punched their ticket to the NFC Championship.
  • [January 5] The Lions beat the Vikings in the final game of the regular season to clinch both their division crown and the top seed in the NFC, which moved them back to being Super Bowl favorites entering the playoffs. The loss resulted in Minnesota’s Super Bowl odds fading from +900 to +1500.
  • [December 31] After another impressive win in Week 17, sportsbooks believed the Chiefs were back. Kansas City moved back to the Super Bowl favorite for the first time since mid-November.
  • [December 22] Buffalo’s reign as the Super Bowl favorite only lasted one week. Their narrow win over the Patriots, paired with Detroit’s dominance in Chicago, resulted in the Lions becoming the Super Bowl favorites again.
  • [December 17] With the Bills beating the Lions in Week 15, Buffalo took over as the Super Bowl favorites for the first time this season. They were only the fourth different team to be favored at this point. The Bills’ odds improved from +626 to +425 after Week 15. Detroit’s Super Bowl odds faded from +266 to +550 after the loss, plus the devastating news of losing David Montgomery for the season.
  • [December 3] After Week 13, the Kansas City Chiefs were no longer among the top two contenders to win the Super Bowl for the first time this season. Their near-loss to the Raiders on Black Friday resulted in both the Eagles and Bills jumping them in the odds.
  • [November 26] The 49ers’ Super Bowl odds took a massive hit after a Week 12 loss to the Packers. San Francisco entered the weekend with +1200 odds, but were +8000 after losing 38-10 without starting QB Brock Purdy.
  • [November 17] For the first time since July, the Kansas City Chiefs were not the Super Bowl favorites. The Chiefs lost to the Bills in Week 11, marking their first loss of the season, which opened the door for the Lions to take over as the new Super Bowl favorites.
  • [October 22] The Lions handed the Vikings their first loss of the season in Week 7, and the 49ers took another loss, this time to the Chiefs. On top of that, Brandon Aiyuk suffered a season-ending knee injury and Deebo Samuel checked into the hospital with pneumonia. All of that led to San Francisco’s Super Bowl odds fading from +669 to +1200, allowing Baltimore and Detroit to move ahead of them.
  • [October 15] After the Jets acquired Davante Adams from the Raiders and the Bills acquired Amari Cooper from the Bills, neither team saw any sort of significant change in their Super Bowl odds. Sportsbooks still felt the Jets had other problems, leaving their odds slightly longer than 30-1 at most sportsbooks, and still have the Chiefs and Ravens firmly ahead of the Bills.
  • [October 8] The Ravens overtook the 49ers for the second-best odds to win the Super Bowl, behind the Chiefs, following another San Francisco loss in Week 5. The Bengals and Jets, both of whom have suffered from slow starts, have seen their odds take another big dip. Cincinnati went from +2625 to +3500, while the Jets went from +2025 to +3000 after a loss in London that resulted in their coach, Robert Saleh, being fired.
  • [September 30] The Chiefs’ Super Bowl odds went from +475 to +550 after Rashee Rice went down in Week 4 with what’s feared to be a torn ACL. They still remained the favorites, but San Francisco closed the gap a bit. The Vikings were finally moved into the top ten contenders for Super Bowl odds after a 4-0 start. Minnesota’s odds improved from +2560 to +1700, with some sportsbooks listing them as short as +1200.
  • [September 23] The 49ers didn’t see their Super Bowl odds change much after losing their second straight game in Week 3. The Bills have closed the gap between them and the Chiefs & 49ers. Buffalo’s second dominant win in a row has seen their odds improve to as short as +800. Houston’s high came to an end in Week 3, though, as they were blown out by the Vikings, sending their odds from +1100 to +1800. The Vikings, the team who handed Houston that bad loss, still remain a distant +2500 in the Super Bowl odds after wins over the 49ers and Texans pushed them to 3-0. Minnesota did at least improve from +4700.
  • [September 16] The Packers rebounded after seeing their odds plummet following QB Jordan Love going down with a knee injury. Green Bay got a win over the Colts with backup Malik Willis under center, and their Super Bowl odds bounced back from +3500 to +2200. The Dolphins’ odds went from +2000 to +4000 with Tua Tagovailoa’s very uncertain future following another concussion. Sportsbooks are only really buying into one of the teams who provided one of Week 2’s many massive upsets: the Saints saw their odds to win the Super Bowl improve from +6000 to +3500 after an extremely impressive win over the Cowboys. None of the Raiders, Vikings, or Buccaneers saw much movement in their Super Bowl futures.
  • [September 9] After a shocking loss at the hands of the Patriots in Week 1, the Bengals saw their Super Bowl odds dip from +1400 to +2000. The Browns, who were seen as outside contenders entering the season, faded from +3750 to +6000 after a truly awful showing against the Cowboys. The Packers also saw their odds plummet from +1800 to +3500 after not only losing to the Eagles in Week 1, but also losing Jordan Love for what sounds like 3-6 weeks.
  • [September 5] The true Super Bowl contenders saw very little Super Bowl odds movement throughout the preseason and leading up to kickoff. The three teams who have seen some movement are the New England Patriots, New York Giants, and Denver Broncos. The Patriots and Giants saw their odds worsen significantly, though they were already very long, while the Broncos went from having the second-worst odds to third-worst.
  • [July 1] Though nothing has changed on either roster, the Kansas City Chiefs have overtaken the San Francisco 49ers as the favorites to win Super Bowl 59. This movement is simply the result of money coming in on the Chiefs.
  • [April 29] The NFL Draft didn’t bring about too much movement in the Super Bowl odds. Miami saw their odds fade a little, going from +2020 to +2343 after a somewhat underwhelming draft that saw them select Chop Robinson, who is quite raw and would ideally find himself behind Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips on the depth chart, in the first round, followed by Patrick Paul, who projects to also be a backup this season, in the second round. The Steelers saw the biggest odds improvement, going from +6520 to +4643 after adding two starting offensive limen with their first two picks as well as Roman Wilson, who may be their second-best receiver, and Payton Wilson, the draft’s second-best ILB.
  • [April 4] The Houston Texans have acquired Stefon Diggs from the Buffalo Bills. Houston’s Super Bowl odds went from +2180, which were already 11th-best in the NFL, to +1471, making them a top-seven contender. The Bills saw their odds fade a little from +1140 to +1300 with the loss of their top wide receiver.
  • [March 11] The Falcons have seen their Super Bowl odds improve from +4000 to +2800 after signing Kirk Cousins in free agency. Saquon Barkley landing in Philadelphia has improved the Eagles’ odds, but only slightly.
  • [January 29] After the Chiefs downed the Ravens in last year’s AFC Championship, they have seen their Super Bowl 59 odds improve as well. Kansas City now has the second-best odds to win the 2025 Super Bowl.
  • [January 21] Super Bowl 59 odds have already opened and the 49ers are the clear favorites at +550 odds. The Bills opened with the second-best odds, followed by the Ravens and then the Chiefs. The biggest surprise (to some) might be the Lions tied with the Bengals for the fifth-best odds

Super Bowl 58 Futures

Sports Betting Dime

The San Francisco 49ers were the Super Bowl favorites, as they prepared to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 58. However, the Chiefs hoisted another Lombardi Trophy after a thrilling overtime win.

Kyle Shanahan’s team became the favorites after beating the Seahawks in Week 12, ending Philadelphia’s one week reign as favorites. They really broke away from the pack after embarrassing the Eagles in Philadelphia in Week 13. The 49ers have even remained Super Bowl favorites after losing to the Ravens on Christmas night. San Francisco really overcame adversity after falling down 24-7 to the Lions entering halftime of the NFC Championship. A red hot second half gave Brock Purdy and company a 34-31 victory, punching their ticket to Las Vegas.

The Chiefs opened the season as the favorites to win Super Bowl 58, spent the entire offseason as the favorites, but saw the San Francisco 49ers take over as the Super Bowl favorites after Week 1. The Chiefs, however, took back over as the favorites following Week 7, but gave that up with a loss to the Eagles at home in Week 11.

The Chiefs and Eagles, who were favorites most of the season saw their odds fall off significantly over the final few weeks of the regular season as they continued losing / showing signs of weakness. The struggles ultimately led to a first-round playoff exit for the Eagles, but Kansas City has gotten hot at the right time and will represent the AFC in the 2024 Super Bowl. The Chiefs managed to outlast the Ravens in the AFC Championship, winning 17-10.

You can see the closing Super Bowl odds for 2024 below, and see how all 32 teams’ odds changed throughout the course of the 2023-24 NFL season with the graph above.

The 49ers were listed as the favorites to win Super Bowl 58 with -130 odds.

Super Bowl 58 Odds Movement

Here are some notes on the movement of the top contenders for Super Bowl 58:

  • [February 11] The Chiefs beat the 49ers 25-22 in the second Super Bowl to go to OT.
  • [January 28] The Super Bowl 58 matchup is set, as the San Francisco 49ers will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in a rematch of Super Bowl 54. The 49ers have opened as 2.5-point favorites, and are given -135 odds just to win the game.
  • [January 21] The 49ers enter the Conference Championships as the Super Bowl favorites with +145 odds. The Ravens are not far behind with +200 odds, but they’ll have to deal with the reigning champs in the AFC Championship.
  • [December 26] Even after losing handily to the Ravens on a Christmas edition of Monday Night Football, the 49ers remained the favorites to win Super Bowl 58.
  • [December 10] For the first time this season, neither of the Chiefs or Eagles are among the top two favorites to win the Super Bowl. Both teams lost in Week 14 and we have seen Miami move behind the 49ers for the second-best odds.
  • [December 5] The 49ers created some separation between themselves and the rest of the field when it comes to odds to win the Super Bowl after hammering the Eagles 42-19 in Week 13. We also saw the Chiefs lose in Week 13 as well.
  • [November 28] In spite of the Eagles winning again in Week 12, moving their record to 10-1, they are no longer the favorites to win the Super Bowl. Philadelphia failed to put together a complete game yet again, and the sportsbooks are obviously feeling that won’t cut it against top competition. The 49ers, on the other hand, looked very good in a win over the Seahawks, and have moved back to Super Bowl favorites.
  • [November 21] For the first time this season, the Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl favorites. This comes after beating the Chiefs at Arrowhead on Monday Night Football of Week 11.
  • [November 17] Prior to their TNF matchup with the Ravens, the Bengals’ Super Bowl odds were listed at +1600. With the news today of Joe Burrow being done for the season with a torn ligament in his wrist, which comes with all sorts of concerns (specifically from the betting world) due to Burrow not being listed on the Bengals’ injury report, Cincinnati’s odds have plummeted to +10000. I suspect we will see these odds continue to worsen before they play their next game as well.
  • [November 6] After fading to as long as +3000 in early October, the Bengals have moved back into the top eight Super Bowl contenders. This comes after their Week 9 win over the Bills, which has resulted in their odds improving from +1750 to +1200.
  • [October 23] The 49ers had already seen their Super Bowl odds slip after being upset by the Browns in Week 6, but were no longer seen as the favorites after their Week 7 loss to the Vikings. Kansas City is back to being favored to win the Super Bowl.
  • [October 3] The Bengals suffered another bad loss in Week 5, this time to the Tennessee Titans. Cincinnati’s Super Bowl odds took a bigger hit after this loss, moving from +1800 to +2900.
  • [September 25] After scoring 70 points in a Week 3 win over the Broncos, the Dolphins see their Super Bowl odds continue to improve, going from +1300 to +900. This ties them with the Cowboys, who faded from +750 to +900 after being upset by the Cardinals, for the fourth-best odds.
  • [September 18] After a concerning 0-2 start to the 2023-24 NFL season, the Bengals have seen their Super Bowl 58 odds fall to +1800, which still puts them in a tie for the eighth-best odds on the board.
  • [September 12] As we all await the likely and very unfortunate confirmation that Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles four plays into his Jets debut, sportsbooks moved the Jets’ Super Bowl 58 odds from +1800 to +2500 Monday night. *Now that it is confirmed to be a torn Achilles, they are down to +6000*. The Bills, who lost to the Aaron Rodgers-less Jets in Week 1, have seen their odds fade from +800 to +1100.
  • [September 10] The San Francisco 49ers have taken over as Super Bowl 58 favorites after Sunday of Week 1. Their Super Bowl 58 odds improved from +1000 to +475 after a truly dominant performance against the Steelers. Dallas also put forth an incredible performance in Week 1, shutting out the Giants 40-0, and saw their odds improve from +1400 to +1000. Miami also saw notable improvement to their Super Bowl odds, as they moved from +2500 to +1700 after a thrilling win over the Chargers. On the other end, we saw the Bengals only fade from +1100 to +1400 after looking awful in a bad loss to Cleveland.
  • [September 8] After losing to the Lions in the 2023-24 NFL season opener, the Chiefsare now co-favorites to win the Super Bowl alongside the Eagles. We did not see their odds fade until Friday morning, as they remained the favorites throughout Thursday night. It should be noted Kansas City was without Travis Kelce and Chris Jones. Plus, Kadarius Toney played one of the worst games we’ve seen from a wide receiver in recent memory. The Lions, on the other hand, saw their Super Bowl 58 odds improve from +2200 to +1700 with the win.
  • [August 16] The Jets’ Super Bowl odds haven’t moved much at all after signing free agent running back Dalvin Cook.
  • [July 24] Despite signing free agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, the Titans odds actually got worse, going from an average of +7750 to +8120. Sportsbooks and bettors obviously don’t feel Hopkins moves the needle in Tennessee.
  • [May 10] Heading into the NFL Draft, the Seahawks saw their Super Bowl odds improve dramatically, going from +6500 to +4250. Without any major move of their own to point to, I believe this was just due to the Rams trading off Jalen Ramsey, and potentially preparing for a bit of a rebuild, as well as the uncertainty around San Francisco QB Brock Purdy’s availability for Week 1 (and beyond). After Seattle landed both Devon Witherspoon and Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the first-round of the 2023 NFL Draft, their Super Bowl odds continued to improve, landing at +3500.
  • [April 28] The Ravens and Lamar Jackson have agreed to a five-year extension, keeping the 2019 NFL MVP in Baltimore. Their Super Bowl odds opened at +2800 due to the uncertainty around whether Jackson would remain in town, but are now continuing to steadily improve at +2150.
  • [April 24] The Jets’ Super Bowl odds improved from +1500 to +1400 after finalizing a trade to acquire Aaron Rodgers. The odds only shifted slightly because sportsbooks had already made the adjustment based on Rodgers being a Jet. After the former Packers QB said he wanted to be traded to the Jets, sportsbooks adjusted, knowing it was only a matter of time before the trade was official. The Packers saw more significant movement after the trade, fading from +3500 to +5000 with Jordan Love now taking over under center.
  • [March 13] An early report has suggested Aaron Rodgers has been traded to the Jets, but the news has yet to be confirmed. That has not stopped the Jets’ Super Bowl odds from continuing to improve, though, as they have now gone from +1800 to +1500. A fellow AFC East team also made a splash, as Miami traded for cornerback Jalen Ramsey. The Dolphins’ odds to win the Super Bowl went from +3000 to +2500 after the move.
  • [March 10] The Chicago Bears’ Super Bowl odds improved from +7000 to +5500 after trading the first-overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft to the Panthers for a massive haul that included two first-round picks (one from this year’s draft), two second-round picks, and receiver DJ Moore. They’re not seen as contenders yet, but sportsbooks felt this was a strong move in the right direction, especially with Aaron Rodgers reportedly leaving the division.
  • [March 8] The Jets’ Super Bowl odds opened at +4000 but have since improved to +1800 after the Packers have granted Aaron Rodgers permission to speak with New York.
  • [March 6] The Saints’ Super Bowl odds went from +4250 to +3750 after signing Derek Carr.
  • [February 12] After winning Super Bowl 57, the Chiefs’ odds moved from +550 to +600 to win Super Bowl 58. They open the favorites yet again.
  • [February 1] Tom Brady has again announced his retirement from the NFL, this time saying it is for real. Tampa Bay’s Super Bowl odds had opened at +3500, but have now plummeted to as long as +6500 following Brady’s announcement.
  • [January 31] Denver’s 2024 Super Bowl odds opened at +4000, but improved to as short as +2800 after trading for former Saints head coach Sean Payton. The new head coach will be tasked with fixing Russell Wilson and the pitiful offense the Broncos put on the field last season.
  • [January 23] Early Super Bowl 58 odds opened with the Chiefs listed as +550 favorites, followed by the Bills, 49ers, and Eagles.

Super Bowl 57 Futures

Sports Betting Dime

The Chiefs and Eagles met in Super Bowl 57 with Patrick Mahomes and company coming out victorious after an extremely entertaining game.

The Chiefs entered the playoffs as the consensus favorite to win the Super Bowl, with the 49ers being given the best odds among NFC teams. The Eagles became the new favorites two days after the NFL Divisional Round wrapped up thanks to Patrick Mahomes’ ankle injury. Philadelphia’s Super Bowl odds improved to +100 after they beat the 49ers to earn a trip to Super Bowl 57, and closed -120 to beat the Chiefs.

You can see the latest 2023 Super Bowl odds below, and track how all 32 teams’ odds have changed throughout the course of the 2022-23 NFL season with the graph above.

Closing Super Bowl 57 Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Kansas City Chiefs +1.5 (-110) +100 o51.5 (-110)
Philadelphia Eagles -1.5 (-110) -120 u51.5 (-110)

*Odds as of February 12 prior to kickoff

The Eagles closed as the Super Bowl 2023 favorites. Philadelphia’s -120 odds to win the Super Bowl imply a 55.6% chance to hoist the Lombardi Trophy this year. The Chiefs, who narrowly got by the Bengals in the AFC Championship, are given +100 odds to win the Super Bowl, implying a 48.8% chance to win. If you’re wondering why that adds up to more than 100%, it’s because of the vig/juice sportsbooks charge to take the bet.

The Super Bowl point spread opened at Philadelphia -1.5, quickly moved down to Philadelphia -1, but then jumped back in the Eagles favor. Some sportsbooks had moved to Eagles -2.5 as of Monday, but we are seeing the line settle back in at Philadelphia -1.5. The Super Bowl over/under opened at 49.5, made a brief move to 50, but went back to 49.5 pretty quickly. On Thursday, February 2 we saw the total move to 50.5, and increased another half point to 51 on Tuesday. It made a final move to 51.5 on Super Bowl Sunday.

The 2023 Super Bowl kicked off at 6:30pm ET on Sunday, February 12.

  • [February 12] The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 57. The Chiefs won 38-35, kicking a go-ahead field goal with just eight seconds left.
  • [January 29] The Philadelphia Eagles have punched their ticket to the 2023 Super Bowl after beating the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship. The Eagles’ Super Bowl odds were listed at +100 prior to the AFC Championship kicking off, but improved to -115 after the Chiefs beat the Bengals. Kansas City’s Super Bowl odds moved to -105 after beating the Bengals in the AFC Championship.
  • [January 24] For the first time this season, the Philadelphia Eagles are given the best odds to win the Super Bowl. Kansas City was the consensus favorite after the Divisional Round, but concern over Patrick Mahomes’ ankle as well as a tough matchup against the Bengals in the AFC Championship has seen the Chiefs’ Super Bowl odds fade from +260 to +275. They are now third on the board behind the Eagles and Bengals.
  • [January 22] The Buffalo Bills, who spent much of the year as the favorites to win the 2023 Super Bowl and entered the NFL Divisional Round with the second-best odds on the board, were upset by the Bengals in the third game of the weekend. Cincinnati’s Super Bowl odds improved from +900 to +280 after the win, leaving them with the second-best odds after the game. Before the Cowboys vs 49ers game even kicked off, the Eagles jumped the Bengals on the odds board, becoming co-favorites alongside the Chiefs with both getting +260 odds. The Bengals’ odds improved a little bit as well, landing at +275, which are the same odds the 49ers are getting after beating the Cowboys. I cannot recall another year where we entered the Conference Championships with the difference between the best and worst odds to win the Super Bowl being 15 cents.
  • [January 15] The Vikings and Chargers losing have been the biggest upsets of the NFL Wild Card Weekend thus far. Minnesota and LA were listed at +2800 ad +2200, respectively, to win the Super Bowl. Jacksonville and New York (Giants), the two teams who beat them, both improved from +5000 odds to +2800.
  • [January 8] Kansas City enters the NFL postseason as the favorites to win Super Bowl 57. The Bills have the second-best odds, while third on the board is the 49ers, who are given the best odds among NFC teams. The Giants and Dolphins enter the playoffs with the worst Super Bowl odds.
  • [January 5] After the Bills vs Bengals game from Week 17 was canceled, the Chiefs have an inside path to the top seed in the AFC. As a result, the Chiefs and Bills are now listed as co-favorites to win the Super Bowl.
  • [December 19] With the news of Jalen Hurts spraining his shoulder in Week 15, and possibly worse news to come, Philadelphia’s Super Bowl odds have faded from +430 to +525. They had the second-best odds on the board prior to this news, but have now dropped below Kansas City.
  • [December 4] The Bengals beat the Chiefs in Week 13, marking their third consecutive victory over Kansas City. Cincinnati’s Super Bowl odds improved from +1800 to +1200 with the win, while Mahomes and company fell from +400 to +450. The dip has allowed Buffalo to take back the title of Super Bowl favorites. The 49ers had improved from +625 to +600 with their win over Miami, but news of Jimmy Garoppolo’s ankle being broken, and the QB now set to miss the rest of the season, San Francisco’s odds faded to +900 with Brock Purdy currently at the helm.
  • [November 27] For the first time since mid-March, the Buffalo Bills are not the favorites to win the Super Bowl. With the Bills struggling lately and Chiefs seeming to be getting better as the season goes on, Kansas City has taken over as the favorites after Week 12.
  • [November 14] After suffering their first loss of the season in Week 10, the Eagles’ Super Bowl odds faded from +500 to +650. Both were third-best at the time.
  • [November 13] Even after being upset by the Vikings, marking back-to-back losses for Buffalo, the Bills remain the favorites to win the Super Bowl. Their odds did worsen from +280 to +375, though.
  • [October 20] The San Francisco 49ers’ Super Bowl odds improved from +1800 to +1400 after they acquired star running back Christian McCaffrey from the Panthers. The 49ers have the fifth-best odds to win the Super Bowl after the trade, jumping over the Vikings for the third-best odds among NFC teams.
  • [October 16] The Bills’ odds to win the Super Bowl have improved from +350 to +280 after Buffalo got a win in Kansas City in Week 6. All of Tampa Bay, Green Bay, Baltimore, and San Francisco lost as big favorites in Week 6. But only the Packers and Ravens saw their Super Bowl odds significantly fade – both went from +1400 to +2000.
  • [October 2] The Eagles now have the best Super Bowl odds among NFC teams after beating the Jaguars to extend their perfect start to 4-0. Philadelphia’s odds improved from +900 to +750. The Broncos have seen their odds take a hit, going from +2200 to +3000 after losing to the Raiders.
  • [September 25] Despite losing to the Dolphins in Week 3, the Bills remain heavy favorites to win Super Bowl 57. Their odds only faded from +400 to +450. Miami’s odds to win the Super Bowl have improved from +2500 to +1600. With the Buccaneers also losing, the Eagles are now tied with Tampa Bay for the best Super Bowl odds among NFC teams.
  • [September 18] With Trey Lance done for the season, the 49ers’ Super Bowl odds actually improved from +2500 to +2000 after Jimmy Garoppolo led them to a win over the Seahawks. Miami’s huge comeback win over the Ravens resulted in their odds going from +3000 to +2500. Meanwhile, a couple teams we thought were true contenders have seen their Super Bowl odds begin to plummet: the Bengals faded from +2500 to +3500 as they start 0-2 following their major upset loss at the hands of the Cooper Rush-led Cowboys; and the Colts getting shutout in Jacksonville sees their odds go from +3000 to +4000.
  • [September 11] After beating up on the Cardinals in Week 1, the Chiefs’ Super Bowl odds have improved from +1100 to +800. Green Bay’s Super Bowl odds only went from +1200 to +1500 following their ugly loss to the Vikings. Minnesota went from +4000 to +2500 with the win. San Francisco’s odds moved a little more after their loss to the Bears, going from +1600 to +2200.
  • [August 18] The NFL has announced an 11-game suspension for Browns QB Deshaun Watson. Cleveland’s Super Bowl odds were once as short as +1800 after acquiring Watson from the Texans, but have now faded as long as +4000.
  • [April 29] The Tennessee Titans traded away star receiver AJ Brown during the first-round of the 2022 NFL Draft, sending him to the Philadelphia Eagles. Tennessee’s Super Bowl odds faded from +2500 to +3000, while Philadelphia’s improved from +5000 to +4000. Some sportsbooks have the Eagles as short as +3500 after the trade. No movement was seen from the Cardinals trading for Marquise Brown from the Ravens. The Steelers’ odds to win the Super Bowl improved slightly, from +8000 to +6000, after drafting Kenny Pickett in the first round.
  • [March 23] This absolutely insane NFL offseason continues, as the Chiefs have agreed to trade Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for a package of five draft picks, including their first-round pick in 2022. The move has resulted in the Chiefs’ odds going from +850 to +900, and the Dolphins have improved slightly from +7000 to +4000. Miami remains long shots in spite of having incredible speed at the wide receiver position.
  • [March 21] The Indianapolis Colts have acquired Matt Ryan from the Falcons, replacing Carson Wentz under center and marking their sixth straight year with a new starting quarterback for Week 1. The Colts’ Super Bowl odds saw some improvement from the move, but not a ton, going from +3000 to +2500. The Falcons’ odds have faded from +6000 to +10000, putting them among the likes of the Giants and Bears.
  • [March 18] In a surprise turn of events, Deshaun Watson has chosen the Cleveland Browns as the team he will waive his no-trade clause to be dealt to Cleveland. The Browns’ Super Bowl odds have improved from +4000 to +2000 with the move, with the early reports saying Cleveland will give up three first-round picks and then two more mid-round picks. Cleveland is now a top ten Super Bowl contender based on the betting odds at the moment. New Orleans and Atlanta, the two teams believed to be the preferred destinations for Watson, see their odds fade dramatically as they miss out on a new QB.
  • [March 17] Green Bay’s Super Bowl odds have not moved much after agreeing to trade star receiver Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders. The Packers went from +1100 to +1200 to win the Super Bowl. Las Vegas’ odds only improved from +6000 to +5000. With the Chargers adding star corner JC Jackson in free agency and trading for Khalil Mack, their Super Bowl odds have steadily improved from +2000 to +1600. Their movement has caused Denver’s odds to win the Super Bowl to fade a little too. New Orleans has seen major movement, going from +5000 to +1800, thanks to the Saints appearing to be the front-runners to acquire Texans QB Deshaun Watson. The Falcons have also seen their odds go from +8000 to +3000 while they remain the other team in the Watson sweepstakes.
  • [March 13] Tom Brady has announced he will be unretiring and returning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2022-23 NFL season. Tampa Bay’s Super Bowl odds had gotten as long as +2800 with Brady believed to be gone. But the Bucs’ odds to win Super Bowl 57 are now as short as +750 at DraftKings, tied for the second-best odds on the board at that sportsbook. If you’re looking to bet the Bucs, you’ll want to do it at Caesars Sportsbook, where they can still be found at +1000 odds.
  • [March 8] The Green Bay Packers’ Super Bowl odds improved from +1500 to +1000 after Aaron Rodgers announced he will be returning to the team on a four-year, $200 million deal. The Packers are now given the best odds to win the Super Bowl among NFC teams, surpassing the Rams today. The Denver Broncos also saw their Super Bowl odds improve, going from +2200 to +1400, thanks to a blockbuster trade that sees them acquire Russell Wilson from the Seahawks in exchange for multiple first-round picks and Drew Lock. The Broncos are now tied for the fifth-best odds to win the Super Bowl. After trading Wilson away, the Seahawks’ Super Bowl odds faded from +4000 to +7500.
  • [February 10] With Tom Brady announcing his retirement, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers saw their 2023 Super Bowl odds plummet from +1000 to +2200. They remain among the top ten contenders for now, but could quickly fall out if they are unable to bring in a quality quarterback or retain some key free agents. The Denver Broncos saw their Super Bowl odds improve from +3500 to +2000 after naming Nathaniel Hackett, Green Bay’s former offensive coordinator, their new head coach, which has brought on even more Aaron Rodgers to Denver speculation.
  • [January 24] Early Super Bowl 57 odds have opened with the Kansas City Chiefs once again being listed as the favorites. This is their fourth straight season opening as the Super Bowl favorites. The Buffalo Bills opened with the second-best Super Bowl odds, while the Packers and Buccaneers are tied for the best odds among NFC teams at +1000.

Sports Betting Dime

The Rams were the 2022 Super Bowl champions after defeating the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl 56.

  • [February 7] We are less than one week from kickoff of Super Bowl 2022 between the LA Rams and Cincinnati Bengals. The Rams’ odds to win the Super Bowl have improved since odds opened after the matchup was set, going from -175 to -200 now. • [January 23] After taking down the reigning champs in the NFL Divisional Round, the LA Rams are temporarily listed as the new favorites to win Super Bowl 2022. LA will host the 49ers next weekend in the NFC Championship. Tampa Bay has the best Super Bowl odds among NFC teams after Green Bay’s playoff exit. • [August 17] Indianapolis’ Super Bowl odds continue to fade as their quarterback Carson Wentz remains sidelined and his Week 1 status is up in the air. After an awful performance in Week 1 of the preseason, albeit from mostly their backups, the Vikings have seen their odds to win the Super Bowl plummet from +2800 to +5000. The movement is more likely the result of Aaron Rodgers preparing to start for the Packers this season.

However, no deal has been announced, and Denver used the ninth-overall pick on Patrick Surtain II. Multiple insiders have said no deal is in the works. Chicago also saw their Super Bowl odds shorten a little, moving from +6000 to +5000 after trading up from 20 to 11 to take Justin Fields.
  • [April 23] The Chiefs have not seen any immediate movement to their Super Bowl 56 odds after acquiring offensive tackle Orlando Brown from the Baltimore Ravens. The move is a big one for Kansas City, whose starters at tackle prior to the trade were Martinas Rankin and Mike Remmers. The Chiefs gave up their first-round (31st overall), third-round (94th), and fourth-round picks from the 2021 NFL Draft, along with a fifth-round pick from 2022. They also got back a second-round (58th) pick in 2021 and a sixth from 2022.
  • [March 17] After the Bears failed to acquire Russell Wilson from Seattle, their Super Bowl odds took a hit when they settled for Andy Dalton in free agency. The Bucs are either tied for the second-best odds or have the second-best Super Bowl odds, depending which sportsbook you look to. Kansas City remains the heavy favorites to win Super Bowl 56, as their odds still sit between +500 and +550.
  • [January 30] After the Rams traded for Matthew Stafford, their Super Bowl 56 odds improved from +2000 to +1100, tying them for the third-best odds to win the Super Bowl.

The Philadelphia Eagles beat the New England Patriots in one of the most entertaining Super Bowls of this era. This marked the Eagles first ever Super Bowl championship.

Sportsbooks had a difficult time figuring out the Eagles, as they suffered a massive injury to their QB (Carson Wentz) late in the regular season, who was having an MVP-caliber season prior to the injury. But Nick Foles stepped in admirably and ended up leading his team to a championship.

Although few were surprised by the New England Patriots reaching Super Bowl 52, many of the other 2017 division winners were quite the surprise (see the Eagles, Jaguars, Rams etc.).

And perhaps the biggest surprise of the season came when the Eagles, led by Nick Foles, managed to knock off the Patriots in Super Bowl 52, earning the franchise’s first Lombardi Trophy.

The worst odds to win the Super Bowl New England saw all season were +525 when they opened on February 5, 2017. Philadelphia, on the other hand, were as long as +5100 at opening.
