Heads up, Massachusetts, a seventh online sports betting operator is coming your way.

After soft-launch last week, Betr, a micro-betting sportsbook app co-founded by Jake Paul, will fully launch in the Massachusetts online sports betting market tonight after completing a few last preliminary tests.

Bruce Band, Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) Director of Sports Betting, revealed the launch during today’s MGC meeting.

Betr On Its Way to Massachusetts

Band did not mention a time that the sportsbook would launch, only that it would begin full operations tonight.

“They had notified me that they planned to launch this evening after running tests on all their software, and that later today they would be launching,” Band said during the meeting.

Betr had originally planned to be ready for the commonwealth’s March 10 online sports betting launch but announced a delay just two days before the date.

The sportsbook operator soft-launched in the Commonwealth last week. A Betr representative confirmed to Sports Betting Dime that the sportsbook would launch after just a few days of the soft launch if everything went well.

The operator received its certificate of operation from the MGC just two weeks ago. During its discussion, Band noted that the sports betting operator passed all inspections and the sports wagering division recommended the approval of the certificate. The MGC unanimously approved the certificate by a 5-0 vote, paving the way for the sportsbook to begin operations in the state.

Betr will be the seventh online sports betting operator to be live in Massachusetts.

Fanatics Sportsbook Up Next?

Band also revealed that Fanatics Sportsbook may launch next week. The sportsbook operator has yet to receive its certificate of operations from the MGC.

“Fanatics still too. That will be next week,” Band said, when asked what sportsbook operators the Commonwealth was still waiting on for launch.

Last week, a Fanatics Sportsbook representative told Sports Betting Dime that the beta-testing period for its online sports betting app is coming to an end and will be available for Fanatics customers in Ohio and Tennessee by Monday, May 1.

The representative told Sports Betting Dime that the operator is hoping to offer the same access deal to Fanatics customers in Massachusetts by mid-June.

No details were provided on what constitutes a “Fanatics customer” and who will be eligible to receive a sportsbook code.

Fanatics Sportsbook’s online sports betting license is tethered to Plainridge Park Casino. The MGC awarded the Category 3 online sports betting license to Fanatics Betting and Gaming back in January.
