- WWE WrestleMania 35 is set to emanate from Newark, New Jersey on April 7th
- Rob Gronkowski announced his retirement from football on Instagram on March 24th
- Will Gronk make an appearance at WWE’s biggest show of the year next Sunday?
After an incredibly accomplished career in the NFL that included multiple Super Bowl wins, the incomparable Rob Gronkowski announced his retirement from football this past week on Instagram. Some were surprised by the news, while others had expected it for a few years now.
Either way, his immediate future has been put into question, with everyone asking what his next move will be. More specifically, there has been speculation that a WWE run could be in the cards for him given his past ties to the company and also how fantastic of a fit he’d be for that world.
Although nothing is known for certain as far as when he could wind up in WWE, WrestleMania 35 would be as good of a time as any for him to make his official debut considering how the event will emanate from the Northeast this year.
Despite that, most fans of Gronk’s don’t seem to think he’ll be under contract to the company any time soon, according to odds provided by MyBookie.
Odds Rob Gronkowski Will Be in the Ring at WrestleMania 35

*All odds taken 03/28/19
Although a WrestleMania appearance from the former Patriot doesn’t appear to be likely as of now, it shouldn’t be ruled out entirely, either.
He last showed up on the grandest stage of them all two years ago at WrestleMania 33, supporting his longtime friend Mojo Rawley (an ex-football player in his own right) and helping him win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Gronk made mainstream headlines the next day for his involvement in the event, which saw him jump the barricade and get physical with WWE Superstar Jinder Mahal.
There’s nothing stopping him from stepping back in the ring eventually and beginning formal training to become an active competitor, but WrestleMania could be a bit too soon for that coming off his recent retirement.
Odds Rob Gronkowski Will Attack Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 35

These odds are also fairly logical because, as noted, Gronk only just retired from the NFL and may want to spend the next several months enjoying the fruits of his labor.
Bobby Lashley would be the perfect person for Gronk to target if he ends up making a one-off appearance at WrestleMania next Sunday.
That said, Bobby Lashley would be the perfect person for Gronk to target if he ends up making a one-off appearance at WrestleMania next Sunday. The current Intercontinental champion has been an unstoppable force since the start of 2019, but the Super Bowl champ wouldn’t back down from a fight with him if the situation called for it at the event.
To be fair, a Gronk vs Lashley match would probably be disastrous, which is why he might be in need of a tag team partner upon his inevitable debut. And no, Rawley is too obvious of a choice (not to mention a poor one).
Odds Rob Gronkowski and Finn Balor Will Be a Tag Team in 2019

For some strange reason, a Finn Balor-Gronkowski partnership sounds extremely appealing on paper. Combine Gronk’s strength and size with Balor’s speed as well as their collective connection with crowds and you have yourself a top-notch tag team.
Of course, this is pure fantasy booking and is not going to happen, as the odds reflect. Betting “yes” on any of the aforementioned props would not be in your best interest, because while anything can in fact happen in wrestling, Gronk is a ways off from signing with WWE (or appearing for them) in any capacity.
Let's have fun and keep it civil.
