I’m not trusting the Steelers’ 30th ranked defense and a rookie QB who has zero touchdowns and four interceptions in his career against Tom Brady and the Bucs. This Steelers team just got thumped 38-3 last week.

  • Cowboys (+6.5) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Cowboys are rolling with wins in four straight and rank seventh in defense. The Eagles are just as strong defensively and better at fourth. Philly found themselves in an early hole against the Jags two weeks ago and just eked out a three-point win over the Cards last week. This one could be close.

  • Vikings (-3.5) at DraftKings Sportsbook

Kirk Cousins on the road isn’t my first choice but the Vikings are still 4-1 and they’re facing a third-string QB who just threw 19/33 for 166 yards and an INT last week. Skylar Thompson is a seventh round pick this year and will need some time to adjust to the NFL. Vikings have enough weapons with Dalvin Cook and Justin Jefferson to cover the 3.5 points.

  • Giants (+6) at FanDuel Sportsbook

The 4-1 New York Giants are riding high after a big upset last week against the Packers in London. On paper, the Giants are less talented than the Ravens, but Brian Daboll has changed the culture quickly and has his team playing well.

Saquon Barkley currently leads the league in scrimmage yards and has played a large role in New York’s success. Baltimore’s defense has not been the typical Ravens defense of years past. They have specifically struggled against the run, so both Barkley and quarterback Daniel Jones could be in for big games on the ground.

The Giants defense has played surprisingly well too. They are top 10 in opponents’ points per game and top five in opponents’ third down conversion percentage. The home underdog should be able to keep this game close.

  • Falcons (+5.5) at FanDuel Sportsbook

The only NFL team that is undefeated in picks against the spread, Atlanta, has a great chance to move to 6-0 ATS on Sunday.

This is a strange spot for the 49ers. They have their second straight game traveling West to East, and this time, they play at 1 pm. The 49ers defense has been strong, but there are a lot of injuries on that side of the ball. Nick Bosa, Arik Armstead, and Javon Kinlaw have not practiced this week. Safety Jimmie Ward is also out.

The Falcons can move the ball, so they should not have an issue against the injured San Fransisco unit. Atlanta has also only been outscored in the fourth quarter once this season, and that was in Week 1. They have made every game interesting and should be able to do that again in this one against Ky Shanahan, who is much better as an underdog than he is as a favorite. The Falcons are another home underdog that can get the cover on Sunday.

Going against the Cardinals on the road is not easy, as crazy as that sounds. This should be a high-scoring affair, as the Seahawks have not been able to stop anyone. The good news for Seattle is that they have been able to score on any defense they have faced. The Cardinals defense has struggled to stop opposing offenses on the ground and through the air. Pete Carrol has let Geno Smith cook, and that should continue Sunday afternoon.

What gives Seahawks’ backers some confidence is that the Cardinals can normally find ways to stop themselves if they cannot do it themselves as Arizona is one of the worst teams in the league when it comes to converting on third downs. Seattle is yet another home underdog this week that should cover and potentially win outright.
