The Eagles or the Chiefs. Everyone wants to know who’s going to come out on top in Super Bowl 57.
Each team has a championship within the last decade, so neither franchise is starved for success. Another title would simply add to their bragging rights.
But will another title add to the storied history of Super Bowl Gatorade showers? Possibly.
With kickoff just two sleeps away, and the Eagles favored at -1.5, we break down the movement in one of the most popular Super Bowl prop bets.

When the Super Bowl Gatorade odds dropped early last week, orange was the favorite. That’s interesting because the Eagles were favored in the Super Bowl odds. Since then there has been a slight adjustment at the top of the board. The rest of the table has remained about the same, but yellow has flip-flopped with orange and has really pulled ahead.

With yellow/green sitting at +110 you’re eyeing an implied probability of 47.62%. Orange is at 18.18%. If you really like longshots, you’ve got a 4.76% chance at cashing out on no shower.
For a look at how bettors are wagering on the Gatorade color odds at DraftKings as of Sunday morning, you cans see the splits here.
Super Bowl Gatorade Shower History
Along with the Super Bowl National Anthem props, the Gatorade shower bet is a pretty common Super Bowl prop bet.
Historically we’re coming off of back-to-back blues when it comes to the color of Gatorade at the Super Bowl. It’s also cashed in three of the last four thanks to the Rams, Buccaneers and Patriots.
The team that skipped the blue tradition? That would be the Chiefs. And, unsurprisingly, they went with orange. So that would explain why it’s still up there in the odds.

In Super Bowl 52, the Eagles tossed yellow on Doug Pederson. But that was a different regime, right?
Well, some things never change. Nick Sirianni got doused with yellow following the Eagles win over the 49ers.
Big Red Eyes Big Orange Shower?
There’s an argument to be made that if the Chiefs win it could be business as usual. They’re built for this and the expectation is to win. They’ve got a ring and a win on Sunday would be their second. What’s the big deal for the class of the NFL, right?
If that loss to the Buccaneers wasn’t wedged in between Super Bowl appearances then I’d buy it. But there it is, glaring at you.
Losing a Super Bowl is a high class kind of disappointment, but it is still a disappointment. The Chiefs know what they’ve been missing out on, and if Patrick Mahomes gets his second ring, you know there’s going to be a celebration.

I mean, this is a team that gave their coach a cheeseburger for Christmas. Do we really believe that they’re over and done with the Gatorade shower?
Surprisingly you have better odds of finding an ad for a cheeseburger in the broadcast props for the Super Bowl than you do Gatorade.
What Gets Dumped in Super Bowl 57?
The answer to this question comes down to who you think will win it all.
If you think it’s the Eagles, then you’re playing yellow. If you think it’s the Chiefs, then throw down on orange. And if you want to get creative, you could even parlay your winner with their color of choice.
But if you’re following the odds and think the celebration is headed back to Philly, then back yellow this Sunday.
