The National Anthem odds in 2023 are significantly less fun than they were for Super Bowl 56. When Mickey Guyton sang the anthem last year, we got plenty of fun Super Bowl prop bets. You could bet microphone colour, whether or not she would have a live accompaniment, the predominant color of her outfit, and even the flyover.

This year? It’s much more straightforward. A big part of that is likely the expectation that Chris Stapleton won’t go wild with a custom microphone, and that any odds posted would skew very heavily to live instruments.

I mean everyone knows he’ll be up there with a guitar, right?

Chris Stapleton’s Anthem Length Odds

We took a deeper dive into Chris Stapleton’s anthem odds last week when books started posting their specials. At that point the line was set at 119.5 seconds. Seven seconds has been added to the total and it’s taken the odds from -250 to -190.

But we’re staying by what we said. Until the books start posting the anthem length in the 2:13 to 2:15 range, keep hammering that over. Especially since that’s been the Super Bowl National Anthem trend lately.

Stapleton’s style is deliberate and drawn out. It’s a treat to listen to. And by all accounts, this is his first chance at singing the anthem on a major stage.

The country music star will showcase his style for all to see. Expecting him to rush through it would be futile.

For a little bit of extra fun, the last two times that Fox has broadcast the Super Bowl, they’ve led with the higher profile team and player. In Super Bowl LI it was Tom Brady, and in Super Bowl LIV it was a pan of the Chiefs and a shot of Andy Reid.

Our educated guess? The anthem shots begin with KC. That means that any prop pitting the Chiefs and Eagles head-to-head should have you siding with red.

Of course Stapleton isn’t the only musical performance of the evening. Be sure to check out our Halftime Show props as well.

  • The Pick: Chris Stapleton’s National Anthem to go OVER 127 seconds (-190)

Ah the coin toss. The one true 50/50 bet in all of sports and one of the most common Super Bowl props.

Ok, maybe it’s not exactly true, but it’s more predictable than the Super Bowl odds. And find us a Super Bowl party that doesn’t have ‘heads or tails’ at the top of their prop sheet.

After a dominant run by tails that saw it come up in seven of eight Super Bowls starting with Super Bowl 48, heads has landed in Super Bowls 55 and 56. Previous Super Bowl coin toss results tell us that there have been 10 runs where heads or tails has shown up in at least three-straight Super Bowls.

So does that streak continue?

We’ll go bold and say no.

The last time the Chiefs were in the big game it was heads. And the last time the Eagles were here it was heads too. But it was tails for KC the time before that and the same for Philly.

Tails won’t fail on super Sunday

  • The Pick: Tails (-103)
