One of the first things that should stick out when looking at online Super Bowl prop bets is that the lines are inflated. It makes sense if you think about it. The general public loves betting overs, as rooting for players to fail seems like the antithesis of fun.

USA betting sites know this and since the Super Bowl is the most public bet sporting event of the year, they shade the lines on the high side making it harder for overs to cash even when it comes to opening Super Bowl player props.

Of course, not every single under is going to hit, but there are a few that stand out as strong value. That’s especially true on the Philadelphia Eagles side, and we’ve built our Eagles-only Super Bowl prop bets card around the unders we think offer the most value in the Eagles player props.

Our favorite Philadelphia Ealges props bet is the under on Jalen Hurts’ completions. The number is set at 21.5, with the juice shaded towards the under. It’s a number Hurts has barely crossed this season, and attacking the Kansas City Chiefs through the air is not going to be Philly’s top priority.

Eagles Props: Jalen Hurts Under 21.5 Completions

For starters, the Chiefs are worse at defending the run than the pass. KC ranked bottom-13 in rush defense per DVOA, while only one team’s pass rush generated more pressure. The Chiefs were also the second-best coverage team according to Pro Football’s Focus, while the Eagles rushing attack graded out as the best in football.

Philly already rushes the ball at the league’s highest rate, and Hurts legs are just as big a weapon as his arm, if not bigger. The Eagles should be even more incentivized to run early and often against the Chiefs, as that will help bleed the clock and keep Patrick Mahomes off the field.

Hurts cleared 21.5 completions in only four of his 17 starts this season. We should expect him to fall short of that number again in the Super Bowl.

Pick: Jalen Hurts Under 21.5 Completions (-135), 1 unit

Eagles Props: Quez Watkins Under 1.5 Receptions

Even if we did project Hurts for more volume, Quez Watkins would still be a player you’d want to fade. Watkins saw a spike in volume this season when Dallas Goedert was hurt, but since he returned Watkins has been invisible. Watkins has yet to register a catch in two playoff games, earning only a single target.

Quez Watkins Stats – Last 5 Games

REC TGT YDS TD
0 1 0 0
0 0 0 0
2 4 14 0
0 1 0 0
1 5 19 0

To make matters worse, Watkins is now splitting wide receiver three reps with Zach Pascal. He was out-snapped badly by Pascal in the Divisional Round and has been on the field for just 47% of the Eagles’ offensive snaps so far this postseason. It’s not the sexiest Super Bowl prop bet explained here, but it is one we expect to be profitable.

Pick: Quez Watkins Under 1.5 Receptions (-155), 1 unit

Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Touchdown Props

Player Odds to Score 1st TD Odds to Score Anytime TD
Miles Sanders +650 -105
Jalen Hurts +700 -115
A.J. Brown +950 +110
Dallas Goedert +1000 +140
DeVonta Smith +1300 +155
Kenneth Gainwell +2200 +370
Boston Scott +2500 +425
Eagles Defense +3500 +600
Quez Watkins +5000 +800
Zach Pascal +5500 +1100
Jack Stoll +7500 +1200

As far as the Super Bowl anytime TD market goes, Miles Sanders has the shortest odds among Philly players. The Eagles are currently 1.5-point favorites, and Sanders has scored twice already during the playoffs. However, he’s not the only Philly RB who’s found the end zone this postseason.

Eagles Props: Kenneth Gainwell Anytime TD Scorer

Kenneth Gainwell is getting nearly as much rushing work as Sanders and is a bigger threat in the passing game than Philly’s starter. Gainwell saw 13 opportunities in the Divisional Round and then 15 opportunities in the NFC Championship Game.

The Eagles love to cycle running backs in and out of the game. Considering we expect a heavy dose of the Philly rushing attack, Gainwell should have plenty of chances to either break a big play or steal some goal-line work. He’s a screaming value at +370 to score, and one that’s definitely worth a half-unit play.

Pick: Kenneth Gainwell Anytime TD (+370), 0.5 units
