Real are well behind Barcelona in La Liga, leaving the Champions League as their primary focus for the rest of the season. Toni Kroos, Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao and Luka Modric were all rested at the weekend.

Chelsea have nothing to play for domestically either, but they have been awful this season by their standards. Sitting 11th in the Premier League, their win over Dortmund in the last round was the highlight of 2022-23. The west London club have won one away match in all competitions since October.
