Oviedo has faced the Diamondbacks once in his career and had a no-decision in 2021 while pitching for the St. Louis Cardinals, He yielded three runs (two earned) in 4.1 innings.

In three starts at home this season, Oviedo is 1-1 with a 5.29 ERA while going 0-2 with a 5.33 ERA in five starts at night. Oviedo has three quality starts in eight games and the Pirates are 3-5 when he toes the rubber.
