Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings visit Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football at 8:15 p.m. ET at Lincoln Financial Field and we’re covering the best Vikings vs Eagles props to bet for the game here.

Cousins threw for 344 yards last Sunday as the Vikings lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20-17 in their season opener. The Eagles opened with a 25-20 win over the New England Patriots as Hurts had 170 yards passing.

The Eagles are 6.5-point favorites over the Vikings and the over/under is 49 in a game that will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.

The weather forecast calls for 70 degrees at kickoff with a low of 57 along with clear skies and north wind at 5-10 mph.

Vikings vs Eagles Props #1: Jalen Hurts Passing Yardage

Hurts did not have impressive statistics against the Patriots in the opener and looked a little rusty after not playing during the preseason.

In his 170-yard passing performance, he completed 22 of 33 attempts for one touchdown with no interceptions. He also had 37 yards rushing on nine carries while losing a fumble.

Hurts, whose NFL MVP odds are +1000, is capable of much better numbers. Last season, he burned the Vikings for 333 yards through the air and 57 yards on the ground in a 24-7 win that also occurred during Week 2 in Philadelphia.

The Vikings held Baker Mayfield to 173 yards last week, though he threw for two touchdowns in leading in the Buccaneers to the upset victory. However, Hurts is a much more dangerous quarterback than Mayfield and should have a big night against the Vikings after knocking off some rust. Look for him to go over his passing total in the Vikings vs Eagles props.

  • TNF Prop Picks: Jalen Hurts Over 251.1 Passing Yards -115 (1 unit)

Vikings vs Eagles Props #2: Kirk Cousins Passing Yardage

Cousins had the second-most yards passing of any NFL quarterback in Week 1 behind the 466 of the Miami Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa.

Cousins completed 33 of 44 passes, threw for two touchdowns and was intercepted once. However, he also lost two fumbles and the three-turnover performance led to Tampa Bay pulling off the road upset.

The Vikings managed just 41 rushing yards in Week 1 after losing star running back Dalvin Cook in free agency. That leaves Minnesota’s offense looking very one-dimensional, which should make things easier for the Eagles defense. Also, Eagles cornerback Darius Slay is one of the few players who can at least slow down Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson.

The Patriots’ Mac Jones throwing for 316 yards against the Eagles last week gives at least some cause for concern. However, look for the defending NFC champions to tighten things up in Week 2 when making your Vikings vs Eagles picks.

  • TNF Prop Picks: Kirk Cousins Under 262.5 Passing Yards -115 (1 unit)

Vikings vs Eagles Props #3: DeVonta Smith Anytime TD

DeVonta Smith should have plenty of opportunities to score as he played 98% of the Eagles’ snaps last week, the most of any wide receiver in the league. While Smith managed just 47 yards on seven catches against the Patriots, he had the Eagles’ lone receiving touchdown.

Smith’s seven TD catches last year, four of which came in the last six games, were second on the Eagles to AJ Brown’s 11.

The Vikings had problems at times covering Buccaneers WR1 Mike Evans last week as he had six receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown while WR2 Chris Goodwin added five catches for 51. Smith and Brown could present a bigger problem.

  • TNF Prop Picks: DeVonta Smith Anytime Touchdown Scorer +155 (1 units)

TNF Prop Bet Record: Week 1. 0-3 (-2.7 units), Overall: 0-3 (-2.7 units)
