- NFL public betting for the Dolphins vs Bengals Week 4 TNF game is showing strong support for Miami
- The Dolphins are drawing the higher percentages over Cincinnati in both spread and moneyline public betting splits
- That’s at odds with the oddsmakers, who are listing the Bengals as 4-point home favorites
As they arrive in Cincinnati for the Week 4 NFL TNF game against the Bengals (1-2, 1-2 ATS), the Miami Dolphins (3-0, 3-0 ATS) are carrying a perfect slate for the season both straight up and against the spread.
Even though oddsmakers are backing the Bengals as 4-point home favorites, it’s Miami that’s garnering the majority of spread and moneyline action in the Week 4 TNF NFL public betting splits.
The AFC East-leading Dolphins are a Cinderella story. Last week, they toppled the Buffalo Bills, the current chalk in the Super Bowl odds. A week earlier, Miami scored 28 fourth-quarter points to rally for a 42-38 victory over the Baltimore Ravens.
There’s nothing the public loves more than a Cinderella story. And the public is loving them some Dolphins.

Dolphins vs Bengals Spread Betting An Oddity
In NFL public betting trends, spread bettors like the Dolphins, but not nearly as much as the public moneyline splits are backing the Fins. That’s a bit odd, considering Miami is the underdog. If the Dolphins win outright, they automatically also cover.
In public spread splits, Miami is drawing 60% of the handle and 65% of all bets. By contrast, public moneyline action is seeing the Dolphins taking 74% of the handle and 79% of bets.

As noted above, Miami is 3-0 ATS this season. Going back into last season, the Dolphins are 5-1 ATS. They’ve also held a solid ATS advantage over the Bengals. Miami is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 meetings and 11-4 ATS over the past 15 games.
The opening line for this game in the NFL odds was Bengals -1.5 and has lengthened by 2.5 points since then. There was some uncertainty about the status of Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (back), which certainly could’ve impacted this line. Word now is that he’ll be playing.
Cincinnati is 9-2 ATS over the last 11 games. The Bengals are 4-1 ATS in their past five home games.
Public Bettors All Over the Over on TNF
Although NFL team trends are showing the under to be a popular play this season, the public is counting on lots of scoring as the Bengals and Dolphins meet. Even though the total is set at 47 points, public betting splits are strongly in favor of the over in both the handle and bet count percentages.
The Dolphins vs Bengals total opened at 48.5 points. It’s since come down by 1.5 points. The total has gone under in six of the last seven Miami vs Cincinnati games. The under’s been the winning wager in eight successive Bengals games and in nine of the last 13 Dolphins games.

Speaking of overs, considering that Dolphins’ wide receiver Tyreek Hill is vowing revenge against Bengals cornerback Eli Apple, perhaps you’ll want to consider an over play on Hill’s receiving yards in the Dolphins vs Bengals player props. In last season’s Bengals vs Chiefs AFC Championship Game, Apple’s coverage limited Hill to seven catches for 78 yards and one touchdown. Hill was still playing for Kansas City at the time.
Moneyline Betting Backing Dolphins Over Bengals
Public betting is certainly banking on Miami opening the season 4-0 for the first time since 1995. Oddly enough, the Dolphins improved to 4-0 that season by posting a 26-23 Week 4 win at Cincinnati.
NFL UNDERs are 30-18 (63%) this season.
Including 7-3 in Primetime games.

Miami is 11-1 SU over the past 12 games and 14-4 SU in the last 18 against the Bengals. Cincinnati is 1-3 SU over the past four games, but 7-4 SU over the last 11 games.
