I am tracking the Super Bowl 61 odds for all 32 teams in the NFL over the course of the 2026-27 NFL season. The 2027 Super Bowl will be played on Sunday, February 14, 2027 in Inglewood, California. I have displayed the current Super Bowl odds from our top sportsbooks, which surfaces up the best odds to bet for each team, and am also plotting Super Bowl odds during major points of the season in a graph to highlight the odds movement while providing commentary to answer why they changed.

Odds opened to win Super Bowl 61 immediately after the previous Super Bowl kicked off, and the Seahawks opened as the early Super Bowl favorites – it’s pretty standard to see the reigning Super Bowl champion open as the favorite. See all the Super Bowl odds below along with some notes on line movement.

2027 Super Bowl Odds

The Seahawks are currently the favorites to win Super Bowl 61. You can use the red tool button in the table above to compare Seattle’s, as well as every other team’s, Super Bowl odds across the major sportsbooks available in your region. A $20 bet on Seattle at their +850 consensus odds would stand to win $170 and return $190. Based off those odds, the Seahawks have an implied probability of 10.5% to win the Super Bowl.

Seattle is followed very closely by the Rams, who they barely beat in last year’s NFC Championship. LA is given consensus odds of +875 to win the Super Bowl. Here’s a quick look at the top five contenders and their current odds to win Super Bowl 61:

  1. Seattle Seahawks (+850 consensus odds)
  2. LA Rams (+875)
  3. Buffalo Bills (+1150)
  4. Baltimore Ravens (+1250)
  5. Green Bay Packers (+1350)

The early odds had the Seahawks and Rams listed as co-favorites, but after Seattle beat the Rams in the NFC Championship, and then went on to beat the Patriots in Super Bowl 60, we saw the Seahawks officially open as the 2027 Super Bowl favorites.

I always find it interesting to compare opening odds for the current year to the previous season to see which teams’ expectations have drastically changed in just one year. Here are the most notable differences in opening Super Bowl odds year-over-year:

  • Seattle Seahawks: Mike Macdonald’s squad was a longshot to win last season, given +4500 odds at opening. However, they proved everyone wrong and went on to win Super Bowl 60. The result is their opening odds being set at just +850 this year.
  • LA Rams: though it didn’t take too long for sportsbooks to really start believing in the Rams last season, they did open at lengthy odds of +2800. That’s not the case this year, as they opened with +875 consensus odds to win Super Bowl 61.
  • New England Patriots: had the Patriots managed to pull off a win in last year’s Super Bowl, they would have been one of the biggest early season underdogs to do so. The Patriots’ odds opened at a distant +8000 last year, but are now seen as one of the top contenders for the 2027 Super Bowl, given +1500 opening odds.
  • Kansas City Chiefs: after getting blown out in Super Bowl 59, the Chiefs still opened last season with the second-best odds to win Super Bowl 60 at +550. However, after missing the playoffs last season, sportsbooks are starting to sour on the Chiefs a little, as they have opened their 2027 Super Bowl odds at +1550, just the tenth-best on the board.
  • Jacksonville Jaguars: entering Liam Cohen’s first season as head coach, the Jaguars were not expected to do much, given +8000 odds to win the 2026 Super Bowl at opening. But after a solid 13-4 season that saw them win the AFC South, Jacksonville is among the outside contenders at opening this season. The Jags are given +2100 odds to win Super Bowl 61.
  • Washington Commanders: expectations of the Commanders in Jayden Daniels’ second season were quite high, as they opened with +1500 odds to win last year’s Super Bowl. But an injury-riddled season filled with disappointing losses have brought expectations of the Commanders this season down a ton. Washington’s Super Bowl odds opened at a lengthy +5250 this season.
  • Miami Dolphins: the Dolphins were not among the top contenders when odds opened last season, but they were at least a respectable +6000, which put them well above the league’s worst. But just one season later, they are seen as the league’s worst, opening with +23750 odds to win this year’s Super Bowl.

Here are some notes to help answer why odds changed/moved for the top contenders for Super Bowl 61:

  • [February 9] The official opening odds to win Super Bowl 61 became available immediately after the previous Super Bowl finished. As we typically see, the reigning champion Seattle Seahawks opened as the favorites to win the 2027 Super Bowl. They were followed closely by the Rams in the upper tier, but then separated a bit from the next tier, which included the Bills, Ravens, Packers, and Eagles, among others.

Super Bowl Predictions & Betting Strategy

At any point in the season, the best Super Bowl betting strategy is to simply pick the team who will win – DUH! But that’s not as easy as it sounds, especially this early in the season. There are a few things I look for when placing a bet on Super Bowl futures at this point in the season:

  1. Study what went right/wrong last season and decide whether it’s sustainable
  2. Consider their pending free agents and expected cap space
  3. Consider their draft capital
  4. Understand coaching changes – an offensive coordinator leaving can be a big deal
  5. Make sure their NFL schedule doesn’t look too grueling – I know we don’t know the order of their opponents yet, but we do know which teams everyone will play
  6. Identify teams who the public/sportsbooks could be underestimating

After considering those six things, there are two teams who stand out to me as presenting good value: (1) the Kansas City Chiefs, and (2) San Francisco 49ers. I love Eric Bieniemy returning as the Chiefs offensive coordinator. I believe he, along with some upgrades on the offensive line and Rashee Rice staying on the field, will get Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense back to what we have grown to expect from them. Their cap situation looks pretty rough, but they can shed a lot of salary by cutting Jawaan Taylor and playing with Mahomes’ contract. Getting +1600 odds on the Chiefs at FanDuel is too good to pass, especially when considering they will play a third-place schedule this season.

I’d like the 49ers even more if they managed to retain Robert Saleh, but I still like them with Raheem Morris taking over the defense. San Francisco managed to nearly get the #1 seed in the NFC while playing most of the season without Fred Warner and Nick Bosa, along with missing Brock Purdy for a good chunk and never having Brandon Aiyuk take the field. The 49ers have some cap space to bring in some extra weapons and beef up the offensive line, and will also play a third-place schedule this season. I can’t help but take the +1800 odds theScore Bet is offering.

Top Super Bowl Contenders

With Super Bowl 61 odds opened, we have an established list of top contenders to win the 2027 Super Bowl. Two teams stand above the rest in the upper tier, but then we have a very crowded second tier of top contenders.

Seattle Seahawks

  • Consensus Super Bowl odds: +850

The Seahawks begin their title defense with great cap space and only a couple key contributors – Kenneth Walker III and Coby Bryant – not under contract for the 2026-27 season. They will have an interesting decision to make with Rashid Shaheed, who was great for them on special teams after being acquired, but failed to really integrate into the offense.

The biggest loss they will likely suffer in the offseason is Klint Kubiak, their offensive coordinator, leaving to become the new head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. Mike Macdonald is expected to promote from within to achieve some continuity for his offense, but there isn’t really a proven option waiting in the wings. Whether they can build a game-plan and call plays as effectively as Kubiak is to be determined.

Los Angeles Rams

  • Consensus Super Bowl odds: +875

The Rams are in really good shape entering the offseason, as Matthew Stafford confirmed he would be returning for another season after winning NFL MVP. They have a healthy amount of cap space and not many key contributors who are hitting free agency.

This is a team who was right on the cusp of making it back to another Super Bowl last season. If their offense remains as potent as last year, they’re going to be very difficult to deal with for a second straight season.

Buffalo Bills

  • Consensus Super Bowl odds: +1150

The Bills fired head coach Sean McDermott after they lost to the Broncos in the Divisional Round last season, and promoted former OC Joe Brady to head coach. The move to Brady seems to signal a shift towards a more offensive-minded team, who doesn’t simply rely on Josh Allen’s heroics week after week.

However, the weakest part of the team last season was their run defense. New DC Jim Leonhard is likely to switch the defense to a 3-4 scheme and bring a much more aggressive approach. The team will have some difficult decisions to make, as Joey Bosa, Connor McGovern, Matt Milano, and David Edwards, among others, are set to become free agents – and they don’t have a ton of cap space at the moment.

As usual, as long as this team has a healthy Josh Allen in his prime, they are going to be a contender.

Baltimore Ravens

  • Consensus Super Bowl odds: +1250

The Ravens struggled through an injury-filled season, which saw Lamar Jackson miss four starts and leave two other games early, ultimately losing the division title on a missed FG in the dying seconds of Week 18. The lousy season resulted in John Harbaugh losing his job, as the team hired Jesse Minter, DC for the Chargers last year, as their new head coach. Minter has hired Declan Doyle, who served as the Bears’ OC last year, as Baltimore’s new offensive coordinator.

Minter and Doyle will be tasked with immediately making the Ravens known for defense again, while also getting Jackson back to his MVP form.

Here are some Super Bowl trends to consider before placing any wagers:

  • The AFC has won seven of the last 12 Super Bowls
  • The Patriots, Broncos, or Chiefs have represented the AFC in 12 of the last 13 Super Bowls; Cincinnati is the outlier in 2022
  • The New England Patriots have still represented the AFC in five of the last 12 Super Bowls, winning three of them
  • The AFC’s top seed has advanced to the Super Bowl in eight of the last 13 seasons; the no. 2 seed has advanced in 3 of the last 8 seasons
  • Kansas City has represented the AFC in five of the last seven Super Bowls.
  • The Seattle Seahawks are the only NFC team to appear in back-to-back Super Bowls (Super Bowls 48 & 49) since the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowls 31 & 32
  • The NFC North has not represented the NFC in the Super Bowl since SB 45 (Green Bay)
  • Eight of the last 13 NFC teams to play in the Super Bowl were the top seed in the conference – Atlanta in Super Bowl 51, Los Angeles in Super Bowl 53, Tampa Bay in Super Bowl 55, Los Angeles in Super Bowl 56, and Philadelphia in Super Bowl 59 were not
  • The NFC West has sent a team to the Super Bowl in eight of the last 14 years

Here are some fun Super Bowl facts:

  • Only one team in the AFC South has ever won a Super Bowl: the Indianapolis Colts. All seven other divisions have at least two Super Bowl-winning teams.
  • Since moving back to Oakland, and now Las Vegas, (from Los Angeles) in 1995, the Raiders have not won a Super Bowl and have only made the playoffs six times in those 31 years.
  • The NFC East is the only division where every team has won a Super Bowl.
  • The Tampa Bay Buccaneers became the only team to win a home Super Bowl in 2021. Tom Brady led the Bucs to a victory in Super Bowl 56, which was played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida. But the LA Rams followed suit in 2022, winning Super Bowl 56 at SoFi Stadium, which is where they played their home games all season.
  • The Buffalo Bills were the last non-Patriots AFC East team to play in a Super Bowl, dating back to the 1993 season (Super Bowl 28) when they lost in their fourth consecutive appearance.

With all of the Chiefs, Ravens, and Bengals missing the playoffs this past season, many believed it was Buffalo’s time to finally win a Super Bowl. However, they were knocked out by the Broncos in the Divisional Round, in heartbreaking fashion, of course.

The Panthers, Texans, Jaguars, and Chargers all made the playoffs this past year as well. However, Houston was the only team who managed to win a playoff game, but they were sent home in the Divisional Round by the Patriots.
