The very early Super Bowl 60 odds, which opened while last season’s playoffs were still young, favored the Baltimore Ravens. Ahead of last year’s Super Bowl, we saw the Kansas City Chiefs take over as the new Super Bowl 60 favorites. But after the Eagles put a beating on the Chiefs in last year’s big game, we have now seen Philadelphia open the 2025-26 NFL season as the Super Bowl favorites.

The Eagles saw their opening odds improve from +900 to +600 after winning last year’s Super Bowl. This gives Philadelphia a 14.3% chance to repeat as Super Bowl champions. A $20 bet on the Eagles at +600 odds would stand to win $120 and return $140. The Chiefs, Bills, and Ravens are all tied for the second-best Super Bowl odds at +700.

The table above will always contain the latest 2026 Super Bowl odds, but you can also look back and see how Super Bowl 60 odds have changed from opening in the graph below.

Super Bowl Line Movement

Here are some notes on the movement of the top contenders for Super Bowl 60:

  • [February 8] Just prior to the end of the previous NFL season, the Chiefs moved to the new favorites to win Super Bowl 60. Their odds actually worsened a little, but so did all of the other top contenders. The Eagles were listed with the second-best odds at this time, which is pretty typical of the two teams who are meeting in the Super Bowl the previous season.
  • [January 19] In the very early opening Super Bowl 60 odds, the Baltimore Ravens were listed as the favorites at +500 odds. They were slightly better than the Chiefs at +550, and the first NFC team didn’t show up until fourth, which was the Lions at +850.

2026 Early Super Bowl Favorites

The early favorites to win Super Bowl 60 mimic the teams we saw thrive last season. We have the Eagles, Chiefs, Bills, Ravens, and Lions in a tier of their own as the favorites. The next team is up is the 49ers, with noticeably worse odds, who are the only team near the top of the board who struggled last season.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are the reigning Super Bowl champions, and are preparing to bring back the vast majority of their core. The offense will almost entirely stay intact, with Jalen Hurts under center, Saquon Barkley in the backfield, and four of five starting offensive linemen under contract as well. Their young defense saw a massive improvement under Vic Fangio, and may only get better with more time together.

After seeing them dominate the AFC’s best team in last year’s Super Bowl, it’s easy to understand why the Eagles are the early Super Bowl favorites.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs attempt to three-peat ended miserably, as they couldn’t keep last year’s Super Bowl competitive. It looked very similar to their Super Bowl loss to the Buccaneers, where Patrick Mahomes just had no time to throw, and the offense grew frustrated quickly, resulting in missed opportunities for big plays when Mahomes did have time.

Kansas City may see some notable roster turnover in the offseason, as Nick Bolton, Trey Smith, Marquise Brown, and Justin Reid, among others, are set to hit free agency. On top of that, many believe Travis Kelce will also announce his retirement this offseason, in spite of the great tight end saying he feels he has a couple years of good football left. The Chiefs will need to spend some money on their offensive line in free agency in order to allow Mahomes to utilize the promising receiving duo of Rashee Rice, who should be ready Week 1, and Xavier Worthy.

In spite of all the negativity, this is a Patrick Mahomes-led team, and will likely spend the offseason as one of the top Super Bowl contenders.

Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen and the Bills have just been unable to beat Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. Based off the odds, it appears the Chiefs will once again stand in their way of pursuing the franchise’s first Super Bowl championship.

Buffalo will have some decisions to make this offseason with their pass-catchers, and their response will likely have an affect on their Super Bowl odds. Do they stick with their current receiving corps and hope Keon Coleman takes a big jump in his second season, or do they trade for a proven WR1 (which is what they thought they were getting in the Amari Cooper trade last season)? Do they want to get their talented tight ends more involved in the passing game? Dalton Kincaid was one of the biggest underperformers from last season.

Whatever decisions they do make, I don’t suspect we’ll see their Super Bowl odds fall off too much, as long as Josh Allen is still there.

Baltimore Ravens

The “Lamar Jackson can’t win in the playoffs” narrative gained some credibility after his turnover-riddled first half performance in Baltimore’s Divisional Round loss to the Bills last season. However, Mark Andrews’ two-point conversion drop will likely be what the general public remembers from that game. It will be interesting to see whether bettors remember it, though. We will find out soon as we see Baltimore’s Super Bowl odds start to fluctuate with money coming in on the future.

The Ravens’ offseason will likely be spent focusing on building their defense back up into a championship-winning unit. They were horrendous defending the pass last year, and their run defense didn’t show up in the Divisional Round against the Bills either.

With Derrick Henry back for another season, the Ravens’ offense projects to be one of the league’s best units again, though. We will see how much they lean into him in his second season with the team.

Detroit Lions

The Lions’ loss to the Commanders was the biggest upset of the playoffs last season. It’s a game they simply should have won, and likely do win the vast majority of the time. However, Jared Goff’s lack of mobility and potential struggles in working through a progression were exposed. Will those things become much clearer on a regular basis now that Goff doesn’t have Ben Johnson calling plays?

The good news for Detroit is that their offensive line is dominant enough to help mask any of Goff’s flaws in most games. The Lions will likely remain a run-heavy squad, which may feature even more Jahmyr Gibbs.

The Lions’ defense was one of the most injured units in football last year. The return of Aidan Hutchinson, who was the NFL DPOY favorite prior to getting injured, will be massive for them. I believe the strength of the NFC North is the reason Detroit’s Super Bowl odds have slipped a little from opening.

Who Is Predicted to Win Super Bowl 60?

The answer you’ll get to, “Who is predicted to win Super Bowl 59?” just depends who you ask. If you ask sportsbooks, the answer is the Philadelphia Eagles for now.

I will give you the public’s answer once we receive some info on money bet.

Who Will Win Super Bowl 60?

If you’re basing this on the odds, then the Philadelphia Eagles will win Super Bowl 60.

If you want to look into some past trends, my NFL Power Rankings will get an update once we see the schedule released in May.

What’s the Spread for Super Bowl 60?

We won’t see any sportsbook release an AFC vs NFC spread for Super Bowl 60 until much closer to kickoff of the 2025-26 NFL season.

Super Bowl Trends

Here are some Super Bowl trends to consider before placing any wagers:

  • The AFC has won seven of the last 11 Super Bowls
  • The Patriots, Broncos, or Chiefs have represented the AFC in 11 of the last 12 Super Bowls; Cincinnati is the outlier in 2022
  • The New England Patriots have still represented the AFC in four of the last 11 Super Bowls, winning three of them
  • The AFC’s top seed has advanced to the Super Bowl in eight of the last 12 seasons; the no. 2 seed has advanced in two of the last seven seasons
  • From 2004 to 2019, the starting quarterback for the AFC was either Tom Brady (8), Peyton Manning (4), or Ben Roethlisberger (3) in 15 of the 16 Super Bowls. Joe Flacco was the only other AFC QB to start a Super Bowl in that span. It has now been Patrick Mahomes in five of the last six seasons.
  • The Seattle Seahawks are the only NFC team to appear in back-to-back Super Bowls (Super Bowls 48 & 49) since the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowls 31 & 32
  • The NFC North has not represented the NFC in the Super Bowl since SB 45 (Green Bay)
  • Seven of the last 12 NFC teams to play in the Super Bowl were the top seed in the conference – Atlanta in Super Bowl 51, Los Angeles in Super Bowl 53, Tampa Bay in Super Bowl 55, Los Angeles in Super Bowl 56, and Philadelphia in Super Bowl 59 were not
  • The NFC West has sent a team to the Super Bowl in seven of the last 13 years

Here are some fun Super Bowl facts:

  • Only one team in the AFC South has ever won a Super Bowl: the Indianapolis Colts. All seven other divisions have at least two Super Bowl-winning teams.
  • Since moving back to Oakland, and now Las Vegas, (from Los Angeles) in 1995, the Raiders have not won a Super Bowl and have only made the playoffs five times in those 30 years. The move to Las Vegas has changed their luck a little, as they made the 2022 NFL playoffs.
  • The NFC East is the only division where every team has won a Super Bowl.
  • The Tampa Bay Buccaneers became the only team to win a home Super Bowl in 2021. Tom Brady led the Bucs to a victory in Super Bowl 56, which was played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida. But the LA Rams followed suit in 2022, winning Super Bowl 56 at SoFi Stadium, which is where they played their home games all season.
  • The Buffalo Bills were the last non-Patriots AFC East team to play in a Super Bowl, dating back to the 1993 season (Super Bowl 28) when they lost in their fourth consecutive appearance.

Teams Without a Super Bowl

Team Years in Super Bowl era NFL Super Bowl Appearances Closest They’ve Come
Arizona Cardinals 59 1 Lost 27-23 to PIT in Super Bowl 43
Atlanta Falcons 59 2 Lost 34-28 in OT to NE in Super Bowl 51
Buffalo Bills 59 4 Missed Game-Winning FG to lose 20-19 to NYG in Super Bowl 25
Carolina Panthers 30 2 Lost 32-29 to NE in Super Bowl 38 on a last-second FG
Cincinnati Bengals 57 3 Lost 23-20 to LAR in Super Bowl 56
Cleveland Browns 59 0 Lost 23-20 in 1986 AFC Champ to DEN – “The Drive”
Detroit Lions 59 0 Blew a 17-point halftime lead to lose 34-31 in the 2024 NFC Championship
Houston Texans 23 0 Lost 20-13 to BAL in 2011 AFC Divisional Round
Jacksonville Jaguars 30 0 Lost 24-20 to NE in 2017 AFC Champ game
Los Angeles Chargers 59 1 Lost 49-26 to SF in Super Bowl 29
Minnesota Vikings 59 4 Lost 16-6 to PIT in Super Bowl 9
Tennessee Titans 59 1 Lost 23-16 (a yard away from tying) to STL in Super Bowl 34

There was some hope amongst football fans, who had already seen their respective teams knocked out of the playoffs, that we would see a first-time champion this past season. However, Detroit choked in the Divisional Round and the Bills failed (again) to beat the Chiefs.
