I am tracking the Super Bowl 61 odds for all 32 teams in the NFL over the course of the 2026-27 NFL season. The 2027 Super Bowl will be played on Sunday, February 14, 2027 in Inglewood, California. I have displayed the current Super Bowl odds from our top sportsbooks, which surfaces up the best odds to bet for each team, and am also plotting Super Bowl odds during major points of the season in a graph to highlight the odds movement while providing commentary to answer why they changed.
Odds opened to win Super Bowl 61 immediately after the previous Super Bowl kicked off, and the Seahawks opened as the early Super Bowl favorites – it’s pretty standard to see the reigning Super Bowl champion open as the favorite. However, their reign as the favorite did not last long. See all the Super Bowl odds below along with some notes on line movement.
2027 Super Bowl Odds
The Bills are currently the favorites to win Super Bowl 61. They took over as the favorites after beating the Ravens in Week 8, while the 49ers were on bye. You can use the red tool button in the table above to compare Buffalo’s, as well as every other team’s, Super Bowl odds across the major sportsbooks available in your region. A $20 bet on the Bills at their +600 odds at DraftKings would stand to win $120 and return $140. Based off those odds, the Bills have an implied probability of 14.3% to win the Super Bowl.
With prediction markets offering futures contracts, there is great opportunity for those who stay connected after every game to buy low and sell high as the Super Bowl odds/probabilities fluctuate. A team does not have to win the Super Bowl for you to potentially make money. Buffalo Bills: Current Super Bowl Favorite
The Bills are the current favorites to win the Super Bowl, and are followed in the odds by the 49ers. San Francisco is given consensus odds of +594 to win the Super Bowl, while Buffalo’s average odds are +546. Here’s a quick look at the top five contenders and their current odds to win Super Bowl 61:
- Buffalo Bills (+546 consensus odds)
- San Francisco 49ers (+594)
- Chicago Bears (+814)
- Jacksonville Jaguars (+993)
- Kansas City Chiefs (+1043)

We saw the Seahawks officially open as the 2027 Super Bowl favorites back in February. This all changed pretty quickly, though, as the Rams started to see more money, and then they made one of the biggest offseason splashes I can recall in acquiring Myles Garrett. Their roster is so talented that sportsbooks continued calling them the favorites in spite of a 2-3 start. But a loss to the Cardinals in Week 6 was enough to send their odds tumbling down the board.
Here are the teams who saw the biggest improvement to their Super Bowl odds after Week 8:
- Chicago Bears: the Bears recorded an incredibly impressive win on the road against the Seahawks, where they showed off their brand new acquisition in Jeffery Simmons, who was absolutely dominant. The great performance and newly improved defense resulted in Chicago’s Super Bowl odds improving from +1386 to +814, catapulting them into the top three contenders.
- Jacksonville Jaguars: the Jaguars had the biggest margin of victory this past week, beating the Colts by 35 points. The Jags’ odds to win the Super Bowl improved from +1257 to +993.
And then here are the teams who saw their odds to win the Super Bowl worsen most notably after Week 8:
- Baltimore Ravens: just as hope was being restored in Baltimore, as Lamar Jackson was making his return after an ankle injury, their season appears to be over, according to the odds. After Jackson injured his thumb on the first play of their game against the Bills, which they went on to lose badly, the Ravens’ odds to win the Super Bowl absolutely tanked from +1200 to +14643.

Latest Super Bowl Odds Updates
- [November 3] While the 49ers were on bye in Week 8, they lost the title of Super Bowl favorite to the Bills. This was partly due to the Bills beating the Ravens, but also because the AFC lost one of its top contenders in Baltimore, as Lamar Jackson injured his thumb on his first play back, and is believed to be done for the season.
- [October 20] The Rams were upset by the Cardinals in Week 6, which saw their Super Bowl odds plummet, leaving the door open for the 6-0 49ers to swoop in and take over as favorites.
- [October 6] The Bills being upset at home by the Patriots in Week 4, paired with a Rams win over the Eagles, resulted in LA taking back over as the favorites.
- [September 29] The Rams blew a 16-0 halftime lead and allowed 30 points to the Broncos in the second half of their Week 3 loss, which resulted in them no longer being viewed as the favorites. The Bills took over as the new favorites following Week 3.
- [June 1] The Rams acquired Myles Garrett in a blockbuster trade, which resulted in LA’s Super Bowl odds improving even further. They were already the favorites prior to the trade, but created more separation between them and the rest of the pack after landing Garrett. The other big June 1 trade was the Eagles sending AJ Brown to the Patriots, which saw both teams’ futures change but only slightly. This trade was expected around the NFL Draft and the affect on the odds had already been mostly factored in.
- [February 20] It did not take long for money to move the Rams to the favorites to win Super Bowl 61.
- [February 9] The official opening odds to win Super Bowl 61 became available immediately after the previous Super Bowl finished. As we typically see, the reigning champion Seattle Seahawks opened as the favorites to win the 2027 Super Bowl. They were followed closely by the Rams in the upper tier, but then separated a bit from the next tier, which included the Bills, Ravens, Packers, and Eagles, among others.

Super Bowl Predictions & Betting Strategy
At any point in the season, the best Super Bowl betting strategy is to simply pick the team who will win – DUH! But that’s not as easy as it sounds, especially this early in the season. There are a few things I look for when placing a bet on Super Bowl futures at this point in the season:
- Study what went right/wrong last season and decide whether it’s sustainable
- Consider their pending free agents and expected cap space
- Consider their draft capital
- Understand coaching changes – an offensive coordinator leaving can be a big deal
- Make sure their NFL schedule doesn’t look too grueling – I know we don’t know the order of their opponents yet, but we do know which teams everyone will play
- Identify teams who the public/sportsbooks could be underestimating
Predictions below were made in July, 2026:
After considering those six things, there are two teams who stand out to me as presenting good value: (1) the Kansas City Chiefs, and (2) San Francisco 49ers. I love Eric Bieniemy returning as the Chiefs offensive coordinator. I believe he, along with some upgrades on the offensive line and Rashee Rice staying on the field, will get Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense back to what we have grown to expect from them. Their cap situation looks pretty rough, but they can shed a lot of salary by cutting Jawaan Taylor and playing with Mahomes’ contract. Getting +1600 odds on the Chiefs at FanDuel is too good to pass, especially when considering they will play a third-place schedule this season.
I’d like the 49ers even more if they managed to retain Robert Saleh, but I still like them with Raheem Morris taking over the defense. San Francisco nearly got the #1 seed in the NFC while playing most of the season without Fred Warner and Nick Bosa, along with missing Brock Purdy for a good chunk and never having Brandon Aiyuk take the field. The 49ers have some cap space to bring in some extra weapons and beef up the offensive line, and will also play a third-place schedule this season. I can’t help but take the +1800 odds theScore Bet is offering.
Top Super Bowl Contenders
Looking at Super Bowl 61 odds, we have an established list of top contenders to win the 2027 Super Bowl. Two teams stand in the upper tier, while a good handful are caught in the logjam of second tier contenders.
Buffalo Bills
- Consensus Super Bowl odds: +546
Fresh off a dominant 36-10 home dismantling of the Baltimore Ravens, the Bills have taken over as the favorite to win the Super Bowl.
Buffalo’s Super Bowl argument is undeniably driven by a terrifying offensive machine. The offense leads all teams with a staggering 33.3 points and 393.1 total yards per game. Their aerial assault nets 256.1 passing yards, complemented perfectly by 148.4 rushing yards, while they cash in on 70% of their red-zone drives. Defensively, the unit is slightly more vulnerable, yielding 25.9 points and 352.1 yards per game. However, a steady pass rush (2.1 sacks per game) and the overwhelming scoring volume of the offense keep them firmly in the title hunt.
They’ll need the switch from a 4-3 defense to a 3-4 to start clicking soon, though, so they can help out the offense when conditions become less than ideal for throwing the ball deep down the field.
San Francisco 49ers
- Consensus Super Bowl Odds: +594
The 49ers sit atop the NFC with a 6-1 record, holding a +58 point differential. Despite a 29-20 setback against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7, which ended their undefeated start, their Super Bowl case rests on an incredibly balanced, high-powered offense.
Offensively, the 49ers score 28.1 points per game while racking up 371.4 total net yards (249.7 passing, 127.4 rushing). Their red-zone efficiency is astounding, as they convert a league-leading 86.4% of their red zone trips into touchdowns, alongside a sturdy 50% third-down conversion rate. On the other side of the ball, the defense stifles opponents to just 19.9 points and 299.3 yards per contest. While they do not produce crazy sack numbers (2.1 per game), their ability to meticulously control games offensively and limit opponents to a 37.9% third-down success rate makes them an incredibly tough team to beat
They have achieved all this with a very banged-up set of pass-catchers as well. Week 7’s loss looked like a minor speed bump, where they were playing on the road (east coast) in the early block, which is also a classic recipe for a poor performance from west coast teams.
Chicago Bears
- Consensus Super Bowl odds: +814
At 6-2, the Bears sit second in the highly competitive NFC North and fifth in the conference, but they own a +54 point differential and a three-game winning streak. Their recent 34-17 road victory over the Seattle Seahawks pulled them into the top Super Bowl contenders.
Chicago pairs an explosive offense with a shutdown situational defense, creating a deeply balanced profile. The unit produces 26.8 points and 387.3 total yards per game (253.9 passing, 150.8 rushing) while converting 44% of third-down attempts and 58.8% of red-zone trips into touchdowns. Defensively, they allow 20 points and 305.8 yards per game, but the true strength lies in getting off the field: opponents convert a paltry 23.8% of third downs against Chicago. Adding 2.8 sacks per game, and a monster at DT in Jeffery Simmons, the roster presents a remarkably well-rounded threat.
Jacksonville Jaguars
- Consensus Super Bowl odds: +993
The Jaguars sit atop the AFC South and rank fourth in the conference with a solid +85 point differential. They have won four of their last five games, punctuated by a recent 42-7 thrashing of the Indianapolis Colts.
Jacksonville’s surge is fueled by complementary, mistake-free football. The offense generates 28 points and 350.3 total yards per game (242.6 passing, 122.9 rushing), paired with strong efficiency (68.4% red-zone touchdown rate, 48% third-down conversion) and just 0.7 giveaways per contest. On defense, the unit is suffocating, allowing only 15.9 points and 331.3 yards per game. They excel at creating extra possessions, forcing 1.7 turnovers per game (including 1.3 interceptions), and limiting opposing offenses to a 35% third-down conversion rate.
Kansas City Chiefs
- Consensus Super Bowl odds: +950
The Chiefs have dropped to second in the AFC West and fifth in the conference after back-to-back losses, most recently a 28-24 defeat against the Denver Broncos.
While their odds still reflect deep market respect, Kansas City is starting to show some vulnerabilities. The offense moves the ball effectively (383.1 total yards, including 256.4 passing and 134.1 rushing) but scores a relatively modest 23.9 points per game due to a 57.7% red-zone touchdown rate and a 40% third-down conversion rate. Defensively, they allow just 18.7 points and 319.1 yards per game, but a lack of premium pass rush (1.3 sacks per game) and recent late-game stumbling suggest this is a roster currently searching to regain its early-season balance.
Historical Super Bowl Trends
Here are some Super Bowl trends to consider before placing any wagers:
- The AFC has won seven of the last 12 Super Bowls
- The Patriots, Broncos, or Chiefs have represented the AFC in 12 of the last 13 Super Bowls; Cincinnati is the outlier in 2022
- The New England Patriots have still represented the AFC in five of the last 12 Super Bowls, winning three of them
- The AFC’s top seed has advanced to the Super Bowl in eight of the last 13 seasons; the no. 2 seed has advanced in 3 of the last 8 seasons
- Kansas City has represented the AFC in five of the last seven Super Bowls.
- The Seattle Seahawks are the only NFC team to appear in back-to-back Super Bowls (Super Bowls 48 & 49) since the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowls 31 & 32
- The NFC North has not represented the NFC in the Super Bowl since SB 45 (Green Bay)
- Eight of the last 13 NFC teams to play in the Super Bowl were the top seed in the conference – Atlanta in Super Bowl 51, Los Angeles in Super Bowl 53, Tampa Bay in Super Bowl 55, Los Angeles in Super Bowl 56, and Philadelphia in Super Bowl 59 were not
- The NFC West has sent a team to the Super Bowl in eight of the last 14 years

Super Bowl Fun Facts
- Only one team in the AFC South has ever won a Super Bowl: the Indianapolis Colts. All seven other divisions have at least two Super Bowl-winning teams.
- Since moving back to Oakland, and now Las Vegas, (from Los Angeles) in 1995, the Raiders have not won a Super Bowl and have only made the playoffs six times in those 31 years.
- The NFC East is the only division where every team has won a Super Bowl.
- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers became the only team to win a home Super Bowl in 2021. Tom Brady led the Bucs to a victory in Super Bowl 56, which was played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida. But the LA Rams followed suit in 2022, winning Super Bowl 56 at SoFi Stadium, which is where they played their home games all season.
- The Buffalo Bills were the last non-Patriots AFC East team to play in a Super Bowl, dating back to the 1993 season (Super Bowl 28) when they lost in their fourth consecutive appearance.
Teams Without a Super Bowl
With all of the Chiefs, Ravens, and Bengals missing the playoffs this past season, many believed it was Buffalo’s time to finally win a Super Bowl. However, they were knocked out by the Broncos in the Divisional Round, in heartbreaking fashion, of course.
The Panthers, Texans, Jaguars, and Chargers all made the playoffs this past year as well. However, Houston was the only team who managed to win a playoff game, but they were sent home in the Divisional Round by the Patriots.
Prediction Markets for Super Bowl 61
Whether you find yourself in a state with legal online sports betting or not, trading Super Bowl futures at prediction markets presents great opportunity. While sportsbooks will often offer you a cashout option on your futures bets, it is never close to the value you should be receiving (based off current odds). Meanwhile, prediction markets allow you to sell your contracts at any point, assuming there is someone willing to buy them, which gives everyone the opportunity to make money without actually having to pick the team who will win the Super Bowl.
If you purchase contracts for a longshot to win the Super Bowl at $0.01 per contract, they could see their price rise a few cents after just one win, putting you in a position to make a decision on whether to continue riding that team, or sell for profit right then. Of course, just like at sportsbooks, you’re not always going to make money on every trade. We always advise users to trade responsibly – only trade with money you can afford to lose.
