DFB Pokal Betting – Borussia Dortmund vs. Wolfsburg (FINAL)

It took a marvelous effort from Borussia Dortmund to eliminate Bayern Munich in the semifinals of the DFB Pokal. Now, Die Borussen will attempt to win one final trophy under outgoing manager Jürgen Klopp when they meet Wolfsburg in the DFB Pokal Final this Saturday at Olympiastadion in Berlin (2:00 PM Eastern).

Klopp has already informed his squad that this season will be his last with the team. The former FSV Mainz star lead Dortmund to two Bundesliga titles along with a UEFA Champions League final back in 2012-2013 (where they fell to rivals Bayern Munich).

Dortmund have had a poor 2014-15 campaign by most standards, finishing seventh in the Bundesliga, but their ticket to the Europa League is already punched due to making the final. Now Klopp will just be hoping to seal his thoroughly successful tenure with another win.

“I enjoyed every second of my time here. Inside the stadium and in general. We were very fortunate to come here in 2008. It was a win-win situation”, Klopp said to ESPN FC. “I take with me a bag full of the most positive memories. Thanks to each and every employee at the club. It was a great pleasure to work with you.

On the other side, Wolfsburg had a tremendous Bundesliga season, finishing second behind Bayern Munich with 69 points in 34 games. They were prolific on offense, scoring 72 goals, and fairly stingy on D, surrendering 38. The second-place finish secured the upstart Wolves a spot in next season’s Champions League.

In their two previous meetings this season, Wolfsburg won at home (2-1) and was able to draw (2-2) away. However, Dortmund ousted Wolfsburg from the DFB Pokal semifinals just last year (2-0).

Dortmund’s season has been one to forget, but look for the team to play inspired soccer in Klopp’s last match.
