WWE Elimination Chamber 2020 Odds, Predictions and Preview

• WWE Elimination Chamber takes place in Philadelphia, on Sunday, March 8th
• Shayna Baszler and John Morrison and The Miz are currently favored to win their respective Chamber matches
• Who else do bettors expect to emerge victorious on the final stop on the road to WrestleMania?

As WWE’s penultimate pay-per-view before WrestleMania 36, Sunday’s Elimination Chamber event should give fans a better idea of what to expect on the grandest stage of them all. It also provides the company with one final opportunity to book any last-minute title changes or start stories that will culminate over WrestleMania weekend.

The build for Elimination Chamber hasn’t been the strongest due to Super ShowDown occurring just one week ago, but WWE has managed to put together a fairly decent card on paper. Most of the matches feel fairly predictable, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be a surprise or two over the course of the evening.

The following odds reflect who bettors are currently favoring to emerge victorious in each outing.

2020 Elimination Chamber Odds

SmackDown Tag Team Championship Elimination Chamber

The Miz and John Morrison are fresh off beating The New Day for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at Super ShowDown, and already they’re facing seemingly-insurmountable odds inside the Elimination Chamber.

The Dirt Sheet duo have been the best thing to happen to the blue brand’s tag team division in recent memory and thus there’s no reason to think WWE is going to take the titles off of them so soon. The Usos are probably the next best choice as champions, and at -160, they aren’t far off from surpassing Miz and Morrison in the odds.

With all signs pointing to Miz and Morrison defending the gold in a Fatal 4-Way at WrestleMania against New Day, Roode and Ziggler, and The Usos, they are the safe bet. Champions have retained their titles inside the Chamber on countless occasions in the past and Miz and Morrison should be no different.

As far as most eliminations go, it’s slightly surprising Heavy Machinery aren’t more favored than they are. There’s virtually no chance they walk out as the new tag team champs, but they could score most of the eliminations before finally falling to Miz and Morrison.

Andrade vs Carrillo

The United States Championship appears to be far more in doubt. Reigning champion Andrade and Carrillo are currently cutting it close in the odds, but Carrillo is expected to emerge victorious.

From a storyline standpoint, Andrade walking into WrestleMania with the gold would make the most sense before dropping it there to Angel Garza. However, WWE may be aiming to punish him a little longer after he got himself suspended for 30 days for violating the company’s Wellness Policy.

He was pinned in fluky fashion by R-Truth in a Gauntlet match at Super ShowDown and again by Carrillo in tag team action days later on Raw. Carrillo hasn’t scored many important victories, but he is bound to receive a run with the star-spangled prize starting at Elimination Chamber, if only until WrestleMania.

Street Profits vs Rollins & Murphy (Raw Tag Team Championship)

Despite falling short of becoming Raw Tag Team champions at Super ShowDown, Street Profits were given one more shot at the straps on Monday’s Raw and made the most of it by beating Rollins and Murphy for their precious tag team gold.

The finish came when Kevin Owens interfered and laid out Rollins with a Stunner, allowing Street Profits to capitalize. With Rollins vs. Owens one-on-one all but set in stone for WrestleMania, it would be a waste for Murphy and Rollins to regain the Raw Tag Team Championship six days after losing them.

Owens may very well make his presence felt again and ensure Rollins doesn’t get the belts back, so a successful title defense from Street Profits would seem to be the best bet.

Styles vs Black

Fans were highly anticipating the first-ever singles match between Black and Styles on Monday’s Raw until it was changed moments before the bell was supposed to ring. Black instead faced off with Karl Anderson and Luke Anderson in quick back-to-back bouts before Styles picked up the scraps and defeated him with ease.

That marked the first time Black has been pinned in one-on-one action since joining the main roster, so naturally fans are expecting him to avenge the loss at Elimination Chamber when he and Styles do battle again. Considering there will be no disqualifications, it’s safe to assume Gallows and Anderson will factor into the finish somehow.

Black has a slight edge over Styles in the odds, but this is a rare case where it would wise to bet on the lesser-favored star. Styles has long been rumored to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania (which was virtually guaranteed when they crossed paths at Super ShowDown), so it would make little sense for Styles to lose before then unless it was a result of Undertaker interference.

Strowman vs Nakamura, Cesaro & Zayn (Intercontinental Championship)

To call this a “feud” over the Intercontinental Championship wouldn’t exactly be accurate seeing as how Strowman has dominated Nakamura and his henchmen at every turn over the past three months. There has been no sense of drama in any of their encounters because of how predictable it is that Strowman will win.

Worse yet, Strowman is barely benefiting from being booking to beat them as often as he has. This 3-on-1 Handicap match is supposed to make viewers believe his title is in jeopardy, but it’s far more likely Strowman dominates them with ease before setting his sights on Sheamus on the grandest stage of them alll.

There is a ton of talent in this matchup, but it could not be any more obvious Strowman’s reign will extend at least through WrestleMania and the odds reflect that.

Raw Women’s Championship No. 1 Contender’s Elimination Chamber

As much of a foregone conclusion as Strowman retaining his Intercontinental Championship at Elimination Chamber is, that pales in comparison to the Chamber match main event where the winner will advance to WrestleMania to vie for Becky Lynch’s Raw Women’s Championship.

Truth be told, this matchup is completely unnecessary and was booked solely for the purpose of killing time before the Show of Shows. From the moment Baszler arrived on Raw last month and ambushed Becky Lynch, it was clear that they were destined to do battle at WrestleMania for the Raw Women’s Championship.

Needless to say, Baszler is heavily favored over everyone else in the Chamber to have the most eliminations as well. For someone who reigned as NXT Women’s champion for over a year, that should not be a surprise in the slightest.

It’s more a matter of who will last the longest against The Queen of Shades, and according to the odds, it appears to be Asuka. Those two nearly waged war on Monday’s Raw, but a wrist injury kept Asuka out of the ring. Even if she’s cleared to compete again on Sunday, she won’t be able to stand in Shayna’s way as she aims to punch her ticket to WrestleMania to settle her score with Lynch once and for all.
