Manchester United (-300) vs. Leicester (+800) (Draw +400)

This weekend’s EPL action includes a mismatch between Manchester United and Leicester at Old Trafford (Saturday, January 31, at 10:00 a.m. Eastern).

The Red Devils are the heavy favorite to win, listed at -300 in the moneyline. A Leicester win will pay +800 and the draw +400.

In their last EPL fixture, United defeated QPR (0-2). However, they only managed a draw (0-0) against Cambridge in their FA Cup match last weekend, and manager Louis Van Gaal was not pleased with his team’s performance.

“I was very disappointed at half-time because we made the same error against Yeovil Town and Queens Park Rangers,” Van Gaal explained. “We played in the same style of play [as the opposition] and you don’t have to do that.”

In the standings, United and Leicester are a world apart. United is clinging to the fourth and final Champions League spot in the Premier League (40 points and a +15 goal difference), one-point ahead of fifth-place Arsenal. United had a great chance to solidify their place in the top four a couple weeks ago, but lost to third-place Southampton at home (0-1).

Leicester, on the other hand, are dead-last with only 17 points (4-5-13) and a -14 differential. However, one of their four wins on the year was a shocking 5-3 upset of United.

The good news for the Red Devils is that they have dominated the head-to-head with Leicester (59 wins, 33 losses). And, before this season’s 5-3 setback, the Foxes had netted just one goal in their last eight Premier League meetings against Manchester United.

Look for Man. U. to emerge victorious come Saturday.
