That’s good news for the Houston Astros who return home for Game 6 on Saturday after winning for the second consecutive game on Thursday to take a 3-2 series lead. Read on for an analysis of the Phillies vs Astros Player Props

The Astros can win their second World Series Championship on Saturday with another victory, and they’re trusting Framber Valdez’s arm to take them to the finish line. He was phenomenal in Game 2 and is the first target on our Astros vs Phillies player props card.

Framber Valdez’s strikeout over/under is currently set at 6.5, one K higher than his opposition Zack Wheeler, and he has been a strikeout machine during these playoffs. As a result, we’re getting juicy +108 odds to target the over.

Phillies vs Astros Player Props #1: Valdez Over 6.5 Strikeouts

Valdez whiffed nine Phillies in Game 2 in just over 6 innings and also fanned nine Yankees in his previous playoff start and six Mariners in only 5.2 innings in the ALDS.

He’s actually faced the Phillies twice in the span of a month, recording 19 strikeouts total over 11.1 innings. Philadelphia stuck out 12 times in Game 5, after whiffing 14 times while being no-hit in Game 4.

Houston’s star pitcher was especially strikeout happy on home turf this season, averaging 1.2 K’s per inning. If we can get him through 6 innings on Saturday, this wager will be hard-pressed not to cash. Dating back to the regular season, he’s stuck out at least seven batters in eight of his past 11 starts.

Pick: Framber Valdez Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+108), 1 unit

Prop #2: Jose Altuve 1+ Hits

Everyone was panicking when Jose Altuve was hitless through his first five games of the postseason. Since then, however, he’s been one of Houston’s most valuable hitters and is why he’s featured in Phillies vs Astros Player Props.

Altuve has hit safely in six of his last seven games, with three multi-hit performances. He’s batting .300 in the World Series and is fresh off a two-hit game on Thursday.

Wheeler, on the other hand, was smacked around by the Astros in Houston in Game 2, and also struggled on the road in the NLDS. He’s issued two hits to Altuve in the three times he’s faced him, and I’m betting the Astros second baseman gets at least one more hit in Game 6.

Pick: Jose Altuve 1+ Hits (-250), 2 units

Prop #3: Alex Bregman 1+ Home Runs

Yes, we’re going back to Bregman in Game 6 Phillies vs Astros Player Props because quite frankly his price to go yard is absurd. He currently boasts +630 odds to hit a home run, something he’s already done three times this postseason, and once against Wheeler.

He has crushed extra-base hits in back-to-back outings and ranks second on the Astros in the playoffs in slugging and OPS. He’s gone deep 15 times in his postseason career, and there’s absolutely no way he should be priced longer to do so again than four Houston batters and five Philly hitters.

As for why there’s no target on the Philly side, it’s simple. Valdez rarely surrenders home runs, especially in his own park. He hasn’t allowed a homer at home since July 3rd, a span of over 60 innings.

Pick: Alex Bregman 1+ Home Runs (+630), 0.25 units
