The Ducks have vaulted over Colorado into third place in the standings during a three-game SU win streak. The Buffaloes travel up the coast looking to avoid recording consecutive defeats for the first time this season after suffering a stunning 71-62 upset loss to California last weekend.

Ducks Enjoying Turnaround
The point spread has steadily moved in Oregon’s direction since opening at 1.5. Oregon returns home after a successful weekend in the desert, posting consecutive SU and ATS wins over Arizona State and Arizona. The club dominated in a 75-64 win over the Sun Devils while favored by 1.5 points last Thursday, and followed up by knocking off the Wildcats 63-61 as 1.5-point underdogs two days later.

Oregon’s current 3-0 SU tear comes in the wake of a shaky 1-3 SU run that started with a 79-72 loss in Colorado on January 7. The Ducks’ recent swoon also occurred amid a lengthy string of game postponements that resulted in them playing just one game over the final three weeks of January, a disheartening 75-64 loss to Oregon State as 9-point home chalk.
Can Duarte Duplicate Monster Effort?
With their recent battles with COVID-19 hopefully behind them, the Ducks could get an additional boost if starting forward Eric Williams Jr. is able to return from a knee injury that kept him out of the team’s win over the Wildcats.

But what would give the team an even bigger boost would be another big performance out of Canadian Chris Duarte. The senior guard racked up a season-high 27 points in last month win over the Buffs, but has averaged just 13 points scored over the past three games.
Buffaloes Reeling from Loss to Bears
The Buffaloes hope to rebound from last weekend’s loss to the Golden Bears as heavy 9.5-point road chalk when they arrive in Eugene on Thursday night. The team had been playing spectacular ball prior to Saturday’s defeat, recording three straight wins. Colorado was simply dominant in a 78-49 demolition of Oregon State as 12.5-point home favorites early last week. The team then followed up with a 69-51 rout of Stanford in a matchup pegged as a pick ’em before turning in their weakest performance of the season last time out.

A sudden drop-off in production from beyond the arc doomed the Buffs in their loss to California. Colorado shooters connected on just 20.0% of 3-point attempts against the Golden Bears after topping 45% in each of their previous eight games. McKinley Wright IV has led the Ducks attack, and is tops on the team in points, assists, and steals per game. And Jeriah Horne, Maddox Daniels, D’Shawn Schwartz had all been shooting over 50% on 3-pointers with regularity in recent outings prior to last weekend’s loss.
Colorado Struggling to Cover
Such prolific scoring from downtown has helped lift the Buffaloes to No. 6 in adjusted offensive efficiency at KenPom. However, it has not helped to make Colorado a reliable bet, with the Buffaloes covering just three times in their past eight outings.

In addition, the Buffaloes have a dismal track record to contend with in recent trips to Oregon. Colorado is winless both SU and ATS in its past six road dates with the Ducks, with four of those defeats coming by wide double-digit margins. Now set an Oregon squad that has surrendered just 62.5 points over their past two outings, the Buffaloes face a massive challenge to reverse their luck on the road vs the Ducks.
