Dak Leads Dallas to a Road Victory
The Cowboys pulled out a tough win on the road at Detroit on Sunday by a score of 35-27. Dak Prescott was tremendous, going 29-of-46 for 444 yards and 3 touchdowns. Two of those scoring throws came in the second quarter, and were part of a 21-point period that proved to be the difference for Dallas.
With that victory, alongside the loss that Philadelphia suffered to Dallas’ Week 12 opponent in the Patriots, the Cowboys remain on top the NFC East. They’re walking a tightrope in that division, and a tough matchup looms on Sunday, but for now, the Cowboys are in the driver’s seat.
Pats Pick Up a Tough Win
The signature of New England’s win on Sunday was its defense. That is a sentence that can be copied and pasted onto almost every Patriots game this season, but against Philadelphia, it was once again true. New England picked up a 17-10 victory, and while the offense was pedestrian, the defense was dominant.
When it came to picking up points, on a day when the offense was struggling, the Patriots turned to other options.
Will This Line Move?
These teams are both coming off of nice wins, but it’s New England who is likely to get most of the love from bettors, at least early on. Both teams have been solid against the spread this season, but New England’s 7-3 ATS mark is one game better than the Cowboys’ 6-4 ATS record.
The situation on Sunday greatly favors New England. Not only will the Patriots be at home in Foxborough, but Dallas will be on the road for the second week in a row. They played a close, emotional game on Sunday, and now the Cowboys must turn around and do it again.
At 6.5, right under a touchdown, expect New England to get the early money here.
