Bruins Will Continue Dominance of Rangers
The Bruins will look to sweep a two-game set with the Rangers when the two East Division clubs clash at TD Garden on Saturday afternoon. Boston dominated the first meeting on Thursday, winning 4-0 and outshooting the Rangers 34-15. New York managed just one high-danger chance the entire game.
It’s clear that these are two teams with different motivation levels at this point of the season. The Bruins have already clinched a playoff berth and are only two points back of Washington for second place in the East Division, while the Rangers have lost five straight and have already been eliminated from postseason contention.
Boston has won seven straight at home and are 9-2 in their last 11 meetings with the Rangers. New York is without superstar Artemi Panarin and are trying to close the door on this season following the shocking firing of president John Davidson and GM Jeff Gorton.
The Bruins have scored at least three goals in six straight games and are chasing home-ice advantage for the playoffs. Bet on them winning big against the slumping Rangers on Saturday.

Goalies Will Shine in Devils vs Islanders
The Islanders will continue their battle for playoff position in the East when they host the Devils at Nassau Coliseum. These two teams opened a two-game set Thursday in which the Devils won the opening game by a 2-1 score. Pavel Zacha and Michael McLeod scored the goals, while Mackenzie Blackwood made 32 saves.
The Devils are the team that has been eliminated from playoff contention, but they’re playing better hockey than New York right now. Lindy Ruff’s team has won five of its past six contests, while Barry Trotz’s Isles have lost three straight and fallen three points behind Boston in the standings.

There’s a good chance the “under” cashes for the seventh time in eight meetings between these two clubs when you look at goaltending. Devils’ netminder Blackwood has won five straight games and owns a .950 save percentage in his last three starts, while Isles’ goalie Semyon Varlamov has allowed just five goals in his last six starts.
These are two of the lowest-scoring teams in the NHL and Trotz is resting some of his top players for the playoffs. Mathew Barzal was a healthy scratch against the Sabres on Tuesday, while Jordan Eberle and Leo Komarov didn’t suit up Thursday. With both teams struggling to find twine and the goalies operating at elite levels, the “under” is a great play.
