The Wyverns will trot out Ricardo Pinto, who’s track record against the Heroes is not pretty.

Pinto is Kiwoom’s Punching Bag

In three outings against Kiwoom this season, Pinto has surrendered 21 runs. Two weeks ago, he lasted just 4.1 innings versus the Heroes, allowing eight runs, seven hits and three home runs.

Two of those homers were hit by Ha Seong Kim, who’s destroyed SK pitching this season. He’s hitting .362 against the Wyverns, with 5 home runs and 12 RBI.

Pinto meanwhile, has lost nine of his last 10 decisions and has walked 10 batters in his last two starts alone.

Kiwoom will counter with Won Tae Choi, who’s allowed three runs or less in three straight starts. SK crossed the plate just once on Thursday, and have been outscored by 34 runs during its current seven-game losing streak.

Pick: Kiwoom Heroes -1.5 (+110)

Despaigne Dominates KIA

One of the teams hot on Kiwoom’s heels for second place is KT Wiz. The Suwon face the KIA Tigers on Friday, looking to avoid the two-game sweep. They’ll send Odrisamer Despaigne to the mound, who’s looking to become the KBO’s second 15-game winner. Despaigne was flawless in his last outing, allowing just one hit and no earned runs in a victory over SK. He’s surrendered two runs or less in three of his past four outings, and has owned KIA this season.

Aug. 30 6.0 4 7 4
July 30 7.0 1 8 8
July 8 6.2 3 7 6

The right-hander is 4-0 versus the Tigers, with a 2.60 ERA. He’s won eight of his last 10 decisions and ranks top-10 in strikeouts, ERA and WHIP.

KIA will counter with Hyun Shik Jang, who’ll be making his first start of the season. The right-hander has been working exclusively as a reliever in 2020, posting a 7.86 ERA and 1.71 WHIP.

Pick: KT Wiz Suwon -1.5 (-158)

LG and NC Go Over

The Dinos have scored 23 runs in three games this week, and have crossed the plate at least six times in five of their last seven.

LG meanwhile, has scored 21 runs this week, and have crossed the plate at least six times in six of its last eight. Both teams are sending struggling starter to the mound, bringing the over squarely into play.

The Twins will give the ball to Chan Gyu Lim, who was shelled for six runs in just four innings last time out, and was rocked in his only start against NC this season.

The Dinos will counter with Myung Gi Song, who hasn’t made it out of the 6th inning all season, and has allowed eight runs, 13 hits and eight walks in his last 9.2 innings.

Pick: Over 11.5 (-122)
