Manchester United (-533) vs. Hull City (+2000), draw (+700)

Manchester United (11-8-3, 41 points) will face Hull City (4-4-14, 16 points) for the second time in six days on Wednesday, February 1st, when Hull travels to Old Trafford for the 23rd fixture of the Premier League.

The Tigers pulled off a shocking 2-1 victory over Manchester United Thursday to win the second leg of the EFL Cup semifinal. It was not enough to see them through to the finals, though, since United won the first leg 2-0. Still, any time a relegation-threatened side beats a top-tier team, it’s big news.

Hull didn’t just beat Man U, they out-shot and out-played them as well. They were lucky to open the scoring after a controversial penalty was awarded in their favor, but the Tigers bounced back after Pogba equalized and Oumar Niasse scored the winner in the 85th minute.

As far as league matches go, Manchester United are undefeated in thirteen games. They had a rough start to the season but are finally finding their rhythm and could break the top four any time now. So far, they’ve beaten Tottenham and Everton, and drawn with Liverpool and Arsenal. On paper, they are definitely one of the best teams in the league.

Hull, on the other hand, have lost their last seven away games in the league. They have the worst goal difference (-27) and have only managed four wins in their 22 league games. That explains why the odds are so heavily in favor of Man United. Hull have had a disastrous season and relegation seems almost inevitable.

But Manchester United do not have a great head-to-head record against the Tigers. Of the four times the two sides have faced, United have only won twice. Hull showed what they were capable of in their last game against Man U, and United once again showed what happens when things go wrong for them.

Manchester United are rightly the favorites, but at +2000, why not give Hull another shot?

Pick : Hull (+2000)
