Another W on the Horizon for MKLeo?

Without a doubt the favorite of Shine has earned his place at the top of the odds table and should be expected to be playing for the title come Sunday. MKLeo is simply the best player in Super Smash Brothers Ultimate and he will be coming in hot to Shine, having taken first place at both EVO 2019 and Super Smash Con 2019 in the singles category.

Over the two events, MKLeo, only lost two series finishing with a 16-1 record and 14-1 record respectively en route to gold at both events. His performance was nothing short of dominant, and if he’s able to find that same form at Shine, then he should for sure be looked at as the most serious threat to take the title in the Super Smash Brother Ultimate Singles division.

Can Tweek Avenge His EVO Loss?

Another player that you for sure can’t take lightly at Shine 2019 would be Tweek. The young American representing TSM has found himself making deep runs this year at a few different tournaments most notably when he finished second at EVO to MKLeo, and placed third at Super Smash Con.

Tweek has the ability to make a very serious run at the title at Shine, and I would say it’s very likely that he once again takes a top three finish when all is said and done. I’m just not fully sold on him being able to take down MKLeo if the two match up in the finals, which is a very real possibility.

A Third Threat

The last player I would seriously look at to take the W at Shine in the SSBU Singles category would be Samsora. The eUnited representative has found himself on the losing end a few times this year already, but has been very close on a few occasions, placing fourth at EVO and second at Super Smash Con.

He does offer a bit more value than both MKLeo and Tweek, and he has shown in the past that he is on the same level of skill as the two tournament favorites. Samsora could definitely steal a win at Shine and at 8-1 odds he is at least worth a serious look to do so.

Pick: MKLeo (+120)
