Saturday means early morning KBO sweats. The action gets underway at 4:00 am EST, and with no aces on the slate, there should be no shortage of offense.

Odds as of Aug. 14th.

As such, we’re going to be targeting overs and first up is a tilt between Samsung and Hanwha.

Bell Has Been Flat Out Bad

The Eagles’ Chad Bell is someone we’ve been picking on all season, and that’s not about to change. The 31-year-old is sporting an 0-7 record with a 7.94 ERA and 1.92 WHIP. He’s allowed five runs in three of his past four starts, and last time out he didn’t even make it past the fourth inning.

Chad Bell – Last Four Starts

Opponent IP HA R BB
KTW 3.0 5 5 4
SK 5.0 6 2 1
DOO 5.1 9 5 2
KTW 5.0 6 5 2

He surrendered four runs in 5.2 innings in his only outing versus the Lions this season, and is averaging five walks per 9 innings in 2020.

Samsung is certainly no offensive juggernaut, but they are capable of big performances. They scored 10 times on Friday against Hanwha, and eight times versus Doosan on Wednesday.

The Lions will counter with Sung Hwan Yoon, who has a 10.29 ERA and 2.29 WHIP in two road starts this season.

Pick: Over 9.5 (-115)

The SK Bats are Alive

For most of the year the SK bats have been ice cold. They rank second last in runs, but lately they’ve caught fire. The Wyverns have scored 27 runs in their last three games, including six on Friday in narrow defeat to KIA.

On Saturday, they’ll have an excellent chance to continue their offensive hot streak, as they’ll face the Tigers Ki Hoon Kim. The 20-year-old has been primarily a reliever this season, and not a very effective one. He has a 5.40 ERA in 11 appearances, which includes one other start. That game, he lasted just 4.1 innings versus Doosan, surrendering four hits and three runs.

SK will give the ball to Joo Han Kim, who’s also struggled this season. The right-hander is 0-6 with a 6.83 ERA, and has lasted just three innings in each of his last two starts.

Pick: Over 9.5 (-135)

NC roughs up Wilson Again

The NC Dinos have been over machines this week, producing game totals of 12, 11 and 14 in their three outings. Friday’s 10-4 loss to LG was painful, but they have a great chance to rebound on Saturday. They’ll take on the Twins’ Tyler Wilson, who they roughed up the last time they faced him.

The Dinos struck for seven runs in just 4.1 innings against Wilson en route to a 13-5 victory. Wilson has pitched much better since then but is still prone to blow up starts. He’s given up at least four runs in four starts this season, including eight in a defeat to Samsung last month.

NC will counter with Jae Hak Lee, who’s 5.64 ERA and 1.55 WHIP isn’t scaring any of the LG hitters. The last time he faced the Twins, he surrendered four runs and six hits in 5.1 innings.

Pick: Over 10.5 (-125)
