Indianapolis Colts (-3, 46 o/u) at Houston Texans

After starting the season with two losses, the Indianapolis Colts (3-2, 1-1 away) are starting to show why they were picked to win the AFC South. The squad is seeking its fourth straight win, having outscored its last three opponents (Jacksonville, Tennessee, and Baltimore) by an impressive 105-47 margin.

Naturally, the Colts success is based on quarterback Andrew Luck, who leads his team against division foe Houston (3-2, 2-0 home) on Thursday night. When asked whether the short week bothers him, Luck said, “You realize once the game starts, it’s football. There’s no use complaining or whining about anything. It’s what you do.”

However, Texans running back Arian Foster, who rushed for 157 yards and two TDs in a loss to the Dallas Cowboys last weekend, has no problem complaining and was quite vocal in his opinion of Thursday night games. “It’s annoying for players. I don’t know one player that likes it. I really don’t know a fan that likes it, either. I think it’s just the league’s way of trying to generate more revenue. … Nobody is ready to play physically after a Sunday game. But you’ve got to go out there and do it,” Foster said.

One hates to put too much weight on an early season game, especially a Thursday night affair, but this is a division match that, come January, could decide who’s still playing and who’s sitting at home.

That said, look for both offenses (which are averaging 52 points a game, combined) to provide plenty of scoring as this game hits the over.
