  • The visiting Houston Astros are the -115 favorites to defeat the Los Angeles Angels in their American League game on Tuesday, April 6th
  • Robert Duff won his Sunday pick and is 1-1 on the season (-0.32 units won)
  • The Astros entered play Monday having lost five in a row to the Angels and four straight at LA

Is it too early to suggest that the race for the American League West Division title is going to be a contest between the Houston Astros and Los Angeles Angels?

The Astros began the season by sweeping the defending AL West champion Oakland Athletics. The Angels opened their campaign by taking three of four from the Chicago White Sox, touted by many pundits as AL Central favorites.

As these two powerhouses clash for an early-season series, it’s the Astros who are favored to come into LA and leave some fallen Angels in their wake. Houston is a -115 road favorite against the hometown Angels on Tuesday afternoon.

The Astros entered play Monday 4-0 both straight up and against the spread. All four of Houston’s games had gone over.

Tuesday’s game is slated for a 4:07pm ET first pitch at Angel Stadium. The MLB Network is carrying the broadcast.

The Angels gave pitcher/outfielder Shohei Ohtani Monday’s game off after he made his first start of the season on the mound on Sunday night. He’s expected to be back in the LA lineup for Tuesday’s game.

Bundy Comes In For Canning

This originally was to be Griffin Canning’s start. However, after warming up in the bullpen on Sunday, Canning was scratched. His start was pushed back to Thursday against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Bundy was the opening-day starter for the Angels. Though he didn’t figure in the decision, Bundy fanned six in six innings, allowing three runs.
