Yankees vs Rays Odds

New York will send Gerrit Cole to the mound, looking to complete the three-game sweep. Cole has been inconsistent against the Rays this season, surrendering five runs in their last meeting, after shutting them out a month earlier.

Last time out, he allowed three runs over 5 innings against Boston, but in the two starts prior he held the Red Sox and Astros, two division leaders, to a single run over 15 innings. He’s racked up 31 strikeouts in his last three outings, and has a 13.7 K/9 rate versus Tampa Bay this season.

The Rays will counter with Luis Patino, which should be music to the Yankees’ ears. The 21-year-old has allowed at least four runs in three straight outings and has yet to post a quality start in five attempts.

Dodgers vs Giants Odds

The Dodgers-Giants also conclude their three-game set on Thursday, in a game that has the potential for offensive fireworks. These two teams rank first and second in the National League in home runs, while the Dodgers lead the NL in runs, OBP and slugging.

LA will face Johnny Cueto, who’s surrendered 11 home runs in his past eight outings, and has been hit hard in three of his past four starts. The Dodgers trio of Cody Bellinger, Max Muncy and Justin Turner have combined to hit .368 against Cueto over their careers, with four homers and nine extra-base hits.

The Dodgers will counter with David Price, who’s been thrust into a starters role due to various absences in LA’s rotation. The southpaw has fared well against the Giants in limited action this season, holding them scoreless over 3.2 innings, while striking out six. He’s surrendering his lowest hard hit since his rookie season, and his average fastball velocity (93.9) is actually the highest it’s been since 2017.

Blue Jays vs Red Sox Odds

The Blue Jays-Red Sox series has failed to live up to offensive expectations thus far, and we shouldn’t expect that to change on Thursday. Five of the past six Jays games have failed to reach double-digit runs, while seven straight Red Sox games have gone under the total.

Hyun Jin Ryu will take the ball for Toronto, looking to replicate his last performance against Boston. The 2021 All-Star shutout the Red Sox over 7 innings, allowing just four hits, while striking out seven. He was hit hard last time out, but held Texas and Baltimore to just a single run over 12 innings in his previous two starts.

The Red Sox will send Eduardo Rodriguez to the mound, who’s fresh off 5.2 innings of shutout ball versus the Yankees in his last full outing. He’s allowed two runs or less in four of his past five starts, while posting a 28-5 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
