Pittsburgh vs Baltimore Probable Pitchers
The Orioles’ stellar start hasn’t earned them much respect in the World Series odds. Despite their impressive record they still boast a +4500 price tag to win it all. That’s longer than 14 other teams, including a pair of division rivals (Yankees and Blue Jays) who own worse records.
Baltimore will give the ball to Kyle Gibson on Sunday, who’ll be looking to continue his incredible form at home. Gibson has looked like an AL Cy Young odds contender at Camden Yards, posting a 1.93 ERA and .197 opponent batting average in three starts.
The veteran righty is fresh off 6 innings of two-run ball versus the mighty Rays and has yet to allow more than two runs in any of his home starts.
The 35-year-old spent the last two seasons in Philadelphia, where he accumulated plenty of reps versus the Pittsburgh hitter in the MLB starting lineups. Gibson has favorable results versus that crew, holding them to a .200 average over 80 at-bats.

The Pirates will counter with Mitch Keller, the ace of the staff. Keller has performed like a true number one this season, posting a 0.64 ERA in two May starts. Last time out, he pitched a complete game – a four-hit shutout versus the Rockies, striking out eight.

Keller has a 31-to-4 strikeout-to-walk rate over his past four outings and has allowed more than two earned runs once since Opening Day. He’s 1-1 in three road starts so far, holding enemy hitters to a .236 average and nine runs over 22.2 innings.

Cedric Mullins became the second player this season to hit for the cycle in Friday’s victory over Pittsburgh, while six of their nine regulars have an OPS north of .770. Baltimore enters play ranked top-eight in scoring, as well as OBP, OPS and stolen bases.
