Harper Hammering Fedde

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper is facing the Washington Nationals, his old team. More importantly, he’s face right-hander Erick Fedde.

Harper tends to get the most out of his at-bats against Fedde. He was 1-for-3 with a home run when last facing Fedde on May 11th. Over his career, Harper is hitting a solid .385 against Fedde (5-for-13). That includes three homers.

Pick: Bryce Harper 1+ home run (+350)

Torrid Torres

You can be sure that New York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres circles the calendar when he knows he’s going to get the chance to step into the batter’s box to face Danny Duffy. Torres is batting .600 (3-for-5) in his career when facing the Kansas City Royals left-hander.

Torres only shows three homers this season, but they’ll all come at Yankee Stadium, where he’ll be facing Duffy today.

Pick: Gleyber Torres 1+ home run (+320)

Brewing Up Some Props

There are player props galore to be considered in the Milwaukee Brewers-Arizona Diamondbacks game. For starters, Diamondbacks infielder Eduardo Escobar is batting .600 (3-for-5) in his career against Brewers right-hander Brandon Woodruff.

On the Milwaukee side of the ledger, former National League MVP Christian Yelich likes to go yard off of Diamondbacks lefty Caleb Smith. Yelich has gone deep twice in eight career at-bats. He’s also hitting .375 (3-for-8) overall against Smith.

Woodruff at +118 for over 7.5 strikeouts is a solid play to take under consideration. He’s gone over that number in eight of 14 starts. That includes June 1st, when Woodruff fanned nine Diamondbacks batters.

Picks: Christian Yelich 1+ home run (+350); Brandon Woodruff over 7.5 strikeouts (+118); Eduardo Escobar 1+ hits (-159)

Showing Their Stuff

Giants right-hander Gausman is second in the NL in ERA at 1.51. Ohtani leads all AL pitchers in WAR (4.6).

Both pitchers are set at 6.5 strikeouts as their total for this game.  Gausman shows 103 strikeouts in 89.2 innings of work.

Although he’s gone under 6.5 strikeouts in each of hs past two starts, he’s been over than total more often than not. Gausman has struck out at least seven in eight of 14 starts this season.

Ohtani has topped 6.5 strikeouts in seven of 10 starts, but just two of his past five outings.

Picks: Kevin Gausman over 6.5 strikeouts (-113); Shohei Ohtani over 6.5 strikeouts (-113)
