The Phoenix Suns need a win tonight over the Memphis Grizzlies and some help from Dallas in the last night of the regular season in the NBA. Suns and Grizzlies will square off this Monday at 10 PM ET at the US Airways Center for the last spot in the Western Conference.
Here’s the deal; a win by the Grizzlies puts Memphis in the playoffs. A win by the Suns is tied to the possibility of Dallas beating Memphis on Wednesday and the Phoenix beating the Kings in Sacramento.
“We’ve got to stay positive,” said Eric Bledsoe, who scored 29 points against the Mavericks on Saturday. “You could tell it was a playoff atmosphere (Saturday). I thought everybody laid it out on the court.”
The Grizzlies beat the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday and are just one game away from the postseason. “They’re playing very well,” guard Mike Conley said of the Suns. “These are the games we get up for.”
“It’s going to be a good test to go to Phoenix and play a team that is fighting for the same goal and can get hot really quick,” center Marc Gasol added.
The Suns are 3.5 point favorites over the Grizzlies for this matchup. The game total is at 194 points.
