The Golden State Warriors are close behind at 62.5 wins, followed by the red hot Toronto Raptors at 58.

Memphis Grizzlies: Under 27.5 Wins

It wasn’t long ago that the Grizzlies would have had 30 wins by January, but that was before management brought an end to the franchise’s Grit and Grind era by jettisoning Zach Randolph and Tony Allen. Memphis now has a roster full of fringe players who find themselves outgunned and overmatched on a nightly basis.

The Grizzlies have looked especially toothless lately, scoring just 95 PPG over the course of their current seven-game losing streak. They may emerge from hibernation eventually, but it won’t be in time to surpass 28 wins.

Orlando Magic: Under 28.5 wins

Orlando officially gave up on its season on February 8th when it traded Elfrid Payton to the Suns for a second-round draft pick. The Magic are now without a starting-caliber point guard and will likely be without small forward Terrence Ross for the remainder of the month as he continues to rehab his fractured right tibial plateau.

There are a handful of teams that can still survive without 40-percent of their starting line-up, but Orlando is not among them. Don’t be surprised if they rattle off their third nine-game losing streak of the season and fall far short of 28 wins.

Charlotte Hornets: Under 36.5 Wins

No team has gotten less bang for its buck this season than the Hornets, who have spent $4.8 million per win, and are on pace to miss the playoffs for the second straight year. Michael Jordan’s club suffers from myriad issues, but one of the team’s biggest problems has been its inability to finish close games. Dating back to the 2016-17 season, Charlotte has lost 13 consecutive games decided by three points or less.

The Hornets have spent $4.8 million per win, and are on pace to miss the playoffs for the second straight year.

The Hornets’ poor clutch time performance will almost certainly prevent them from winning 13 more games and surpassing 37 wins on the season.

Cleveland Cavaliers: Over 50 wins

Two weeks ago, 50 wins would have seemed like a pipedream, but that was before Cleveland drastically overhauled its roster at the trade deadline with the acquisitions of George Hill, Rodney Hood, Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. The new-look Cavs promptly dispatched the Celtics and Thunder in their first two games and enter the final two months of the season as one of the NBA’s most dangerous teams.

LeBron James and co. will need to go just 17-9 in their remaining 26 games to surpass 50 wins, and will benefit from a weak schedule that includes 12 games against non-playoff contenders. The Cavs may still sputter when they face the Warriors in June, but for now 50-plus wins and another Eastern Conference title are well within reach.

Boston Celtics: Under 54.5 Wins

Betting against Boston seemed almost blasphemous back when the Celtics were in the midst of a 16-game winning streak, but it’s the right call now as the team has been struggling mightily to regain its early season mojo. Brad Stevens’ squad has gone just 10-9 in 2018 and will need to win 15 of its final 23 games to surpass 55 victories this season. That’s a lot of wins for any team, but especially a team with the league’s tenth worst offensive rating and sixth worst scoring average. Play it safe and take the under.
