The Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns meet in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Saturday July, 17th. With the series back in Arizona, Phoenix is favored by four points. Milwaukee bounced back from a 2-0 deficit with a pair of wins at Fiserv Forum, and will be looking to topple the Suns’ impressive home record.
The Suns looked dominant in their two home games in this series. This is familiar territory for the Milwaukee Bucks, however, who came from 2-0 down against the Brooklyn Nets in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Both teams are missing key players, with Dario Saric and Donte DiVincenzo out for the season, and the two coaches have adapted their rotations significantly throughout the postseason.

CP3 Bounces Back
Chris Paul did not look like Chris Paul in Game 4. His handle was dodgy. His shooting was poor, as he finished with 10 points on 13 shots. Speculation about an injury was rife, but with no reports of any health concerns for the future Hall of Famer, it’s reasonable to assume it was just an off night.
Even the best have bad games, and Paul has bounced back from similar poor performances earlier in these playoffs.

He went 11-for-41 in his first two games after being in health and safety protocol. The lethal mid-range shooting quickly returned, however, with Paul putting in arguably the best performance of his career in the clincher against the Clippers. It would be foolish to write him off after his Game 4 struggles.
Being guarded by Jrue Holiday for long periods, there will clearly be tough stretches for Paul in Game 5. With all the pressure on Phoenix, though, this is an opportunity for the All-NBA point guard to take over. He will look to control the pace, and even if he’s inefficient from the field, the assist numbers will be there. The former Rocket has recorded seven or more assists in each of his last 13 outings.

The last two games were difficult for Paul, but he went over 29.5 points and assists in the previous four. Spurred on by an expectant Phoenix crowd, there’s value in wagering on a bounce back game.

Giannis the Playmaker
Giannis Antetokounmpo is compiling one of the great Finals performances. The Greek Freak has been dominant on offense. His defense has been disruptive. Amid all the dunks, the iconic block and free throw controversy, though, Antetokounmpo’s exceptional playmaking has been overlooked.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton have combined for 227 points this series.
That's the 2nd-most by a duo in their 1st 4 career #NBAFinals games.

He registered eight assists in Game 4. It could have been more if the Bucks shot the long ball better. Where the Suns were effective in building a wall, and Deandre Ayton avoided foul trouble, Antetokounmpo remained aggressive. He drove into the paint, and he took full advantage of how the Suns sagged off Milwaukee’s three-point shooters.
According to ShotQuality.com, the Bucks had much better looks than the Suns in the last three games. Much of that can be attributed to the threat of Giannis as a scorer, and Phoenix’s desire to make someone else beat them.

Milwaukee’s role players have struggled shooting the ball on the road in these playoffs, but Antetokounmpo should create enough to get over the 5.5 assist line. He’s exhibited exceptional decision making throughout this postseason – cutting down on his own jumpshots has increased his chances of putting up big assist numbers.
