  • Six games line the NBA slate for Monday, December 20th 2021
  • There were seven games originally scheduled but the Orlando Magic and Toronto Raptors had to be postponed because of Covid concerns
  • See below to find out some of the best player props to bet on tonight

We’ve hit the jackpot tonight people with not only two NFL games but also six NBA matchups that are worth betting. We could have had seven but the Magic vs Raptors matchup had to be rescheduled due to Covid. Still, an enormous amount of action awaits the gambling community tonight.

Christmas is coming a little early because we’re getting one of the six NBA games on national television. That’s right, the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers are getting after it at 7:30pm ET on NBA TV. It would have been nice to see another game tucked into the 10:30pm ET (namely the San Antonio Spurs vs Los Angeles Clippers) but we can be happy with what we have.

There are more unforeseen roster changes in the NBA than any other sport. Because of that, many books are reluctant to post player prop lines too early in the day. For that reason, not all of the teams in action tonight are included in the table below. Scroll down to see the lines that are available and a couple of best bets.

Odds as of Dec 20th at FanDuel & DraftKings

Rudy Won’t Be Stopped

Tonight just feels like a big guy night. A night where the seven-footers just yam all over the little guys simply because they can. I don’t blame them either, if I was seven feet tall, I would dunk on literally anyone who wanted some. That’s just how being seven feet tall works.

The first guy who caught my eye on tonight’s slate that fits the mold is Rudy Gobert.

Rudy Gobert is a big guy’s idea of a big guy. He just camps under the net and dunks when his teammates throw it to him. There’s nothing wrong with that. In his last five games, the strategy has helped him score at least 16 points in four of them.

Tonight he’ll see the Charlotte Hornets who give up more points per game to opposing centers than any team in the NBA. It might be because they play at the fastest pace in the league but that’s good for us too. Even if this one turns into a blowout, Gobert should be able to dunk at least eight times on these guys.

  • The Pick: Rudy Gobert Over 15.5 points (-118)

Jakob Time Again

Since it’s big man night, we’ll need another big man to bet and that big man is Jakob Poeltl. I consider myself to be a Jakob Poeltl expert because it takes a well-trained eye to spot an opportunity to bet this guy. He needs the right opponent on the right night but when he gets that, he’s magical.

One thing to note about this guy, he hits free throws at the same rate of an average sixth-grade girl.

Free throw jokes aside, Poeltl has made us some coin over the course of the last two seasons and I’m sure he’s working on his charity stripe woes. He’s probably practicing free throws right now. Lucky for us, he likely won’t even need the free throws tonight. (We’ll definitely take them if he wants to hit them though.)

Poeltl is getting the perfect opponent for what he does in the Los Angeles Clippers. We just saw Rudy Gobert go for 20 against them the other night. If that doesn’t move the needle for you, think about the fact that Jusuf Nurkic went for 31 against them two weeks ago. How does that even happen?

All we need is 11 from Jakob tonight. I think he gets it for us.

  • The Pick: Jakob Poeltl Over 10.5 points (-120)
