Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm ET. Keep reading for the Warriors vs Hornets prediction.

The Dubs are coming off a statement win over Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat, beating them 123-110. The Hornets meanwhile, fell to the Orlando Magic in the front end of a back-to-back on Friday.

Warriors Rebound vs Heat

The definition of a good team is one that can respond after a crushing loss. On Tuesday, the Warriors were blown out by the Phoenix Suns, 134-105. By no surprise though, the defending NBA champions bounced back with authority on Thursday against Miami, another contender.

Stephen Curry led by example as he poured in 33 points while also dishing out nine assists and grabbing seven rebounds. But, he had lots of help, too. Four of the five starters posted at least 10 points, with Andrew Wiggins going for 18 points and 10 boards.

Overall, this was a solid performance from Steve Kerr’s squad. They shot 39% from long range, out-rebounded the Heat 50-31, and dished out 30 assists.

The ball movement was tremendous and that resulted in countless good looks from all over the floor. Golden State showed a lot more guts inside too, scoring 27 on second-chance points to just seven for the visitors. On both ends of the floor, the Warriors balled out.

One key to victory on Saturday will be limiting the Hornets from long range because they’re currently first in the Association with a 41.7% clip. Charlotte is generating a lot of their offense from beyond the arc and if the Dubs can contain that, it’ll do a lot for the ultimate outcome.

Charlotte Hornets Surprising Start to 22/23

Ball is currently injured, James Bouknight was in trouble with the law, and Miles Bridges’ career is in serious jeopardy due to his domestic violence case. No one gave Charlotte much of a chance this season because of all the drama but they’ve surprisingly been doing quite well.

However, the Hornets definitely struggled against the Magic on Friday without Terry Rozier, who is still sidelined with an ankle issue. Steve Clifford’s group lost 113-93 in a rather poor performance on both ends. Gordon Hayward’s 18 points were a team-high and he was just one of two starters to post double-digit scoring numbers.

Charlotte also shot a putrid 29% from downtown and got bodied in the paint by a young Magic squad. The only positive takeaway in the Hornets putting up 40 points in the fourth quarter to show a little bit of fight, or else it would’ve been an even bigger blowout.

They’ll need to quickly re-group for Saturday’s matchup against a much better opponent.

Warriors vs Hornets Prediction

I would’ve given Charlotte a chance here but after seeing how they played against the Magic, Golden State is the clear pick to cover. All the veterans are expected to play in the front end of a back-to-back and the Hornets remain shorthanded. Easy choice.

Pick: Warriors -9 (-110)
