Productive Shooting Night For Tatum?

Jayson Tatum is certainly one of the better three-pointer shooters on the Boston Celtics roster, draining from downtown at a 37% clip this season. He shoots them relatively often as well at 7.1 attempts per night.

As a whole, this should be a dominant performance from Boston, considering that Houston barely has anyone available due to injuries. But for Tatum in particular, he could be in for another impressive night from beyond the arc.

The Celtics star has hit the 2.5 over in his last two appearances from downtown, sinking six shots from long range during that span. The C’s weren’t up against the easiest of opponents either in the Brooklyn Nets and Toronto Raptors.

Houston is pretty atrocious defensively, but they seem to be respectable at defending the perimeter. However, in their last three games, opponents are shooting 39.8% from three-point range.

Expect Tatum to cash in and find his touch from downtown on Sunday night. Bet on the over.

Pick: Jayson Tatum Over 2.5 Three Pointers (+104)

Lillard Dropping Dimes

Damian Lillard continues to play at an MVP-caliber level this season, despite missing his right-hand man in CJ McCollum. The Blazers star has led Portland to a 22-15 record, good for fifth in the Western Conference.

Dame can literally do everything imaginable on the offensive end, with playmaking being one of his strongest assets. Given that he just dropped 10 assists against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night in the first game of a back-to-back, there’s value here.

YouTube video

Lillard has seven 10+ assists performances this season, including a season-high 16 vs. New Orleans last month. The T-Wolves are 25th in the league in defensive rating as well and allow one of the highest numbers of assists per game, especially during their last three contests.

Lillard put on a facilitating show Saturday, don’t be surprised if he goes to work again on the road again in Minnesota. Bet on the over.

Pick: Damian Lillard Over 9.5 Assists (+106)
