Regular season NBA action won’t be back until next Wednesday following the All-Star break, but they are going out in style tonight with a nine-game slate beginning at 7 pm ET.

TNT will look a little different tonight as there is only one game on the docket instead of the customary doubleheader. The Miami Heat will be in New Orleans taking on Zion Williamson and the Pelicans at 8:30 pm ET in the lone TNT televised game.

As always, when there are nine games on the schedule, there’s more than enough player props to keep bettors busy.

Kemba Walker Is Balling

While some players might be slowing down a little heading into the All-Star break, one that isn’t is Kemba Walker. In fact, Walker is doing the exact opposite. After getting a late start to the season due to knee injury, Walker is making up for lost time at this point. After watching his last three games, it’s apparent, Kemba is fully healthy.

Tonight, the Celtics take on the Toronto Raptors who will be without starters Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby due to COVID-19 protocols. Last night while playing short-handed, the Raptors were absolutely destroyed from three-point land by the Detroit Pistons. Detroit normally shoots 35% from long-range, which puts them 23rd in the NBA in that metric, but last night went 20-41 from distance.

One area of Walker’s game that has picked up is his propensity to take the three-ball. In his last five games, he has taken double-digit attempts from three-point land four times, and he has hit at least three of those attempts in four of those contests. Because of the three-ball, he has gone over 20 points in each of his last four games, and he is a good bet to do so again tonight – even in a blowout situation.

  • The Pick: Kemba Walker Over 19.5 Points (+100)

DeMar DeRozan the Assist Guy

Since coming into the league in 2009, DeMar DeRozan has never been a player that posted big assist numbers. Known primarily as a scorer, coming into this season he averaged right around three assists per game for his career. His role has completely changed this year, as he is now posting double digit assists on a nightly basis.

Though he has seen an uptick in play-making opportunities, DeRozan is still scoring the ball at high rate. He’s averaging 20 points per game which is in line with his career average.

In a pace up spot tonight against the Thunder, look for DeRozan to get one more shot at proving all-star voters wrong by not including him on this year’s Western Conference All-Star Team.

The Pick: DeMar DeRozan Over 28.5 Points + Assists (-122)
