With just a few games left for each team in the 2020-21 regular season, things are heating up ahead of the playoffs. On Thursday, we’ll have a few intriguing matchups to keep an eye on. The Sixers and Heat meet for an Eastern Conference showdown, but MVP candidate Joel Embiid could miss out due to an illness.

Portland will be looking to continue their hot streak when they visit the Suns, while Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers visit LaMelo Ball and the Hornets. Read on to find the key injuries for all of the action and the projected lineups.

Milwaukee is rolling, posting a 7-3 record in their last 10 games. As the postseason nears, they’re also at full strength. The Pacers on the other hand are still dealing with their fair share of injuries. Jeremy Lamb, Malcolm Brogdon, Myles Turner, and Edmond Sumner are all out for this contest. Aaron Holiday is questionable.

Four players in total have been ruled out for Orlando on Thursday. Terrence Ross, James Ennis, Otto Porter, and Michael Carter-Williams. Atlanta, who dealt with numerous injury problems just a few weeks ago, are very healthy right now after clinching a playoff spot on Wednesday. Cam Reddish (Achilles) is their only absentee.

The Clippers are only missing Serge Ibaka (back) on Thursday as he continues to recover with the hope of returning for the postseason. Charlotte is still without star Gordon Hayward (foot). The Martin brothers are out, while Miles Bridges (COVID-19) is in the league’s health and safety protocols.

Joel Embiid (illness) is questionable for this marquee matchup with the Heat after missing Tuesday’s loss to the Pacers as well. Expect Mike Scott to get the start again. Matisse Thybulle (hand) is in the same boat as Embiid. It was announced on Wednesday that Victor Oladipo would undergo season-ending surgery, so Miami will be without him for the rest of the year. Jimmy Butler (eye) is questionable.

Minnesota’s only absentees here are Malik Beasley (hamstring) and Jarrett Culver(ankle), who is also sidelined for the rest of the year.
