Tuesday provides four NBA games for bettors to enjoy, starting off with Ben Simmons’ return to Philadelphia to face the 76ers. Unfortunately, James Harden will not be up against his former team here, which contributes to the Nets being heavy favorites.

Riding a six-game winning streak, De’Aaron Fox and the Sacramento Kings are in Memphis to take on the Grizzlies before the Detroit Pistons matchup with the Nuggets in Colorado. The evening’s action wraps up with the 5-10 Los Angeles Lakers duelling with the 10-6 Phoenix Suns.

Pick #1: Kevin Durant Over 6.5 Rebounds

The Sixers are not only missing James Harden and Tyrese Maxey, but Joel Embiid has joined them on the shelf for Tuesday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets. Brooklyn is a seven-point favorite as a result, and the absence of Embiid is obviously a massive advantage for the Nets.

The Nets do not have anywhere near enough size to cope with Embiid — his injury allows them to play smaller, using Kevin Durant or Ben Simmons at the five. Simmons has improved of late, and seems to be benefiting from greater spacing. Without the imposing presence of Embiid, Durant and Simmons can avoid a physical battering here, with the Sixers either starting P.J. Tucker, Paul Reed or Montrezl Harrell at center.

Durant averages 6.6 rebounds per game this season, and has gone over this number in eight of his last 11. Philadelphia is a woeful rebounding team outside of Embiid — only one team grabs fewer boards than the Sixers.

While the game potentially being played at a slow pace could see slightly lower numbers across the board, Durant is still value at -113 given the matchup.

Pick: Kevin Durant over 6.5 rebounds (-113)

Pick #2: Jaden Ivey Over 18.5 Points

With Cade Cunningham and Saddiq Bey out, the Detroit Pistons are missing two of their top four in field goal attempts. Those absences contribute to the Pistons being six-point underdogs even with the Nuggets having Aaron Gordon, Jeff Green, Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Bones Hyland on the injury report.

Jaden Ivey hasn’t been shy about shooting at any point this season, but his usage inevitably increases when Cunningham and Bey (who combine for 29.9 shots per game) are unavailable. Ivey has got up 16.8 field goal attempts per contest over the last five, which is more than De’Aaron Fox, Bam Adebayo and Paul George over the same period.

Shooting a lot of threes and with an electric first step, Ivey can score at all three levels and poses a problem for a Nuggets team which has the fourth-worst defense in the NBA over the last five games.

Ivey is averaging over 21 points per game across the previous five, and has passed this number in four of his last seven. With a favorable matchup, this line is on the low side. There’s definite value on the over.

Pick: Jaden Ivey over 18.5 points (-118)
