Upset picks with some extra upside are the name of the game this week.

Three double-digit dogs and a team that continues to get more respect than they deserve. Here’s a breakdown of three moneyline plays you should consider prior to kickoff on Saturday.

Tulsa vs Navy Week 14 Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Tulsa -12.5 (-109) -480 O 49 (-112)
Navy +12.5 (-112) +330 U 49 (-109)

Navy Has Been ATS Machine Last 25 Games

Yes, these are upset picks and we’re not looking for teams to cover but it never hurts to have an underdog that loves playing close games. Navy is 4-1 ATS in their last five games against teams with a winning record and 17-7-1 in their last 25 games. This is a team that controls the clock by pounding the football on the ground which always keeps them in low scoring, tight affairs. Tulsa’s last three victories have been by a combined 14 points, so they have been playing close games as well. Assuming this one follows the script, isn’t taking the team getting +330 a tempting proposition?

Navy is led by two fullbacks. That’s a fun sentence to say, but it’s true. Nelson Smith and Jamale Carothers have combined for 936 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns this season. Look for them to help Navy keep drives alive while bleeding clock just long enough to make an upset possible in this one.

The Pick: Navy Moneyline (+330)

Buffalo vs Ohio Week 14 Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Buffalo -11.5 (-109) -400 O 58.5 (-112)
Ohio +11.5 (-112) +300 U 58.5 (-109)

Jaret Patterson Stealing the Headlines

Did you hear about Buffalo running back Jaret Patterson? He had 409 rushing yards and tied an FBS record with eight rushing touchdowns against Kent State. Oh, you did hear?

That’s right, everyone has that has ever tuned in to a college football game in their life.

It was an incredible game and undoubtedly one of the highlights of the season. That said, it was one game against an opponent that has allowed 152 points in four games this year. With Patterson all over ESPN, twitter and Instagram, the oddsmakers knew the Bulls would be a popular pick.

With that in mind they set this line well north of where it should be. Ohio is a good football team that has won two of three games this year. They also heard the news about Patterson and will be prepared to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Whether or not they can pull off the upset remains to be seen but the +300 odds they are getting is too much value to pass up.

The Pick: Ohio Moneyline (+300)

Oregon State vs Utah Week 14 Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Oregon State +11.5 (-110) +335 O 51.5 (-115)
Utah -11.5 (-110) -455 U 51.5 (-106)

Oregon State Riding High After Upset Victory

Oregon State pulled off the upset against #9 Oregon last week and is riding a high after a huge win in a rivalry game. Don’t expect a letdown with another top tier opponent in Utah this week. To pull off a second straight upset, the Beavers will need another monster performance from running back Jermar Jefferson.

He had 29 carries for 226 yards and two touchdowns against the Ducks and proved he is one of college football’s best talents in the backfield. He is more than capable of handling a heavy workload which could be even more important this week.

Beavers starting quarterback Tristan Gebbia went down with an injury late against Oregon. It appears that injury is more serious than first expected. It’s likely Oregon State will turn to Chance Nolan as his replacement. Nolan is a former three star recruit with a big frame and should be more than capable of picking up the slack. On the bright side, if he does struggle there’s always the option of having him lean on Jefferson.

One other note here, Utah is on the short list of most disappointing teams in the country. Their road this year has been rocky and while it hasn’t all been their fault, it’s tough to imagine much positivity in their locker room right now. They opened the season with cancelled games against Arizona and UCLA. They followed that up with back to back losses against USC and Washington, before being cancelled yet again against Arizona State. If you were able to keep up with that, you didn’t hear the word ‘win’ mentioned anywhere.

The opportunity to fade a winless 11.5-point favorite seems too good to pass up. Get greedy and take the Beavers to make it back-to-back shockers.

The Pick: Oregon State Moneyline (+335)
