Caleb Williams Passing Touchdowns

USC will be throwing early and often is this late-night matchup versus Fresno State. Caleb Williams has been one of the most fascinating players to watch in the country so far this season. The USC offense is a well oiled-machine and hasn’t missed a beat under the guidance of Lincoln Riley. Riley is surely enjoying all the new toys Southern California has added to his arsenal.

Thus far, USC has blown out Rice and destroyed rivals Stanford in what was supposed to be a close game.  Fresno State Bulldogs quarterback Jake Haener is an under-the-radar NFL draft pick who will keep his team in this football game. Fresno State is a live dog in this one, so expect Caleb Williams to have to throw the football late into the second half. We like USC to put up at least 40 points again in this one, with Williams throwing at least three touchdowns. Take the over to hit.

Pick: Caleb Williams OVER 2.5 passing touchdowns (-185)

Jaxson Smith-Njigba Receiving Yards

The Big Ten’s record holder for single receiving yards suffered a hamstring injury on the second series against Notre Dame. We have yet to see him play since. At his very best he is a silky smooth route runner, with the nuance to break down any coverage in football. Right now, Jaxson Smith-Njigba is a Ferrari with a flat tire.

We haven’t seen this version of Jaxson Smith-Njigba thus far in 2022. Moreover, soft tissue injuries have a tendency to linger in season, and it’s anybody’s guess at what percentage of health he’ll be operating at on Saturday.  Head coach Ryan Day expects his star receiver to play this week, but for how long? Ohio State won’t want to risk the health of a star player in what should be a blowout home victory over Toledo. Smash the under here.

Pick: Jaxson Smith-Njigba UNDER 107.5 receiving yards (-115)

Jordan Addison Receiving Yards

As noted above, this USC offense has been unstoppable in 2022. Fred Biletnikoff award winner Jordan Addison has piled up 226 receiving yards already. He’ll want to keep the ball rolling against a weak Fresno State pass defense.

Addison will be targeted a ton in this one, and with the way the season has gone so far, don’t be surprised if he has another huge game on Saturday night.

Pick: Jordan Addison OVER 97.5 receiving yards (-115)
