KJ Jefferson Passing Yards

Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson is a player you want on your radar when making your Week 8 college football player prop bets. He’s set to face a struggling Mississippi State secondary that is allowing 263.5 yards per game, including 8.3 YPA.

Arkansas has lost five straight games, but oddsmakers have set the Razorbacks as 6.5-point favorites at home as the team aims to keep their bowl dreams alive. Despite the struggles, Jefferson is on pace to surpass his career highs in passing yards and touchdowns.

The senior pivot has thrown for at least two touchdowns in back-to-back games and is averaging 207.1 passing YPG. With the Bulldogs passing defense bottom-three in the SEC, look for Jefferson to have a big day with his arm to help the Hogs get out of their slump.

  • Pick: KJ Jefferson OVER 222.5 Passing Yards (-115), KJ Jefferson Over 1.5 Passing TDs(-130)

Braelon Allen Rushing Yards

Among the other players we recommend targeting in the Week 8 college football player props is Wisconsin star running back Braelon Allen (vs Illinois). He’s one of the few RBs with a rushing total over 100 this weekend, but it’s set that high for good reason.

Last season against Illinois, Allen had a season-low 2 yards on eight carries in a 34-10 loss. But the year prior to that, he exploded for 131 yards on the ground against the Illini. This year, Illinois has struggled against the run, ranking 12th in the Big Ten in rushing defense (164.1 yards allowed per game).

Allen is averaging 93.2 rushing yards per game, which ranks 18th nationally among RBs. With Wisconsin breaking in a new starting QB, expect a heavy dose of Allen running the ball, likely 20+ carries. He should be able to exploit the Illinois defense on the ground and exceed 100 yards rushing.

  • Pick: Braelon Allen OVER 102.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
