Oregon Betting Trends

Oregon quarterback Bo Nix has decided to stay with the program and will lead the Ducks into the Holiday Bowl. The Auburn transfer had a fantastic first season in Eugene, tossing for 3,389 yards and 27 touchdowns with just 6 interceptions. Nix added 504 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground as the catalyst of the Ducks’ explosive offense.

Oregon’s problems lie on the defensive side, as their leader Noah Sewell will miss this contest to prepare for the NFL draft. Additionally,  Oregon’s pass-rush has been disappointing all year, and the Ducks struggle to get off the field on third down. Even worse, the Ducks’ defense has just been hammered by the Oregon State running attack for 268 yards and five touchdowns.

Meanwhile, the betting trends favor the Ducks in this one. Oregon is 6-2 against the spread in their last 8 games.

North Carolina Betting Trends

Unfortunately, this North Carolina team has been stripped down to the studs. The Tar Heels will be without star wide receiver Josh Downs, and new Wisconsin offensive coordinator Phil Longo.

That being said, quarterback Drake Maye has chosen to stay at North Carolina, which certainly helps the Tar Heels cause. Bettors looking to wager on North Carolina will be hoping to get the run game going early and often. The Tar Heels are 3-0 when running for more than 165 yards, and 8-1 when rushing for more than 120.

On the other side of the football, the Tar Heels boast the ACC’s worst defense in both yards and scoring. Due to their fast-paced offense, the Tar Heels surrender an unimaginable 438 total yards and 31 points per game.

Unfortunately, the Tar Heels have been historically bad in bowl games, dropping five of their last six, and eight of their past 11.

Oregon vs North Carolina Prediction

This game has all the makings of a shootout. While there are missing parts and pieces on both sides, each team’s star quarterback will play in this one. We’re backing the over here. Sit back, relax, and watch what should be a spectacular offensive show on Wednesday night.
