The new era of the NFL has arrived, and the NFC will see the future of the league clash this Sunday at 6:30 PM ET when the Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks host Colin Kaepernick and San Francisco 49ers, for a chance to be in the Super Bowl.

Both teams are hard hitting units, with a great running game and two quarterbacks that can both throw or run the ball.  This is the formula to become a successful team in the NFL, and to make it better, they don’t like each other.

“Long story short: They know us, we know them,” 49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman said. “We got to go there. We all know the history. But this is the Super Bowl.”

The 49ers biggest challenge will be winning in a place where the home team has won 16 of the last 17 games, including one playoffs game last week. “It’s a big deal to play here,” Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman told the team’s official website. “We’ve earned that right to play them at home, to be on our home field in front of our fans.”

Colin Kaepernick has thrown just 1 TD against 4 INTs at CenturyLink Field.  He’s 0-2 at Seattle, although he likes his chances now. “We’re a different team than we were the first time we played (the Seahawks) up there,” said Kaepernick.

The Seahawks are 3.5 point favorites for this one. San Francisco is 0-5 ATS in its last 5 games when playing on the road against Seattle.
