Saints Offer Blanket ATS Coverage
Since starting quarterback Drew Brees underwent thumb surgery following their Week 2 loss at the Los Angeles Rams, the Saints have won five in a row under second-string QB Teddy Bridgewater.
Not only has New Orleans won five in a row, the Saints have covered the spread in five successive games, three of them as road underdogs at Seattle, Jacksonville and Chicago. Only one of the covers was as a home favorite, and that was just giving three points to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

This will be the largest margin New Orleans has been asked overcome in a point spread all season long. The Saints were 6.5-point favorites over the Houston Texans in Week 1 and failed to cover in a 30-28 win.
New Orleans is 1-2 in the last three games in which it has given away a double-digit point spread at home.
Cardinals are Soaring
Following an 0-3-1 start to the season, Arizona has won three in a row and QB Kyler Murray has placed himself solidly in the driver’s seat to earn the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.

It should be noted, though, that those wins were secured against the Cincinnati Bengals (0-7), New York Giants (2-5) and Atlanta Falcons (1-6). Not exactly the cream of the NFL crop.
However, it’s also significant to note that Arziona is 5-2 ATS this season. As a road underdog, the Cardinals are 3-0.
Who’s Under Center?
Brees, the NFL career passing-yardage leader, practiced all week. Saints coach Sean Payton was mum on his starting QB would be, saying he won’t tip his hand toward Brees or Bridgewater until game time Sunday.
That forces the Arizona defense to prep for both possibilities. Speculation is that Brees will start.

Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ankle/knee) is questionable after missing last week’s win at Chicago. In his place, Latavius Murray posted a 100-yard rushing performance.
Without Drew Brees, Alvin Kamara and Jared Cook, the Saints have hung 36 points & 419 yards on the NFL's 6th-ranked defense.
Somebody give a game ball to Sean Payton and the entire Saints coaching staff.

Last week, minus Brees, Kamara and starting tight end Jared Cook, the Saints put up 36 points on the Bears’ #6-ranked NFL defense.
Meanwhile, the Cardinals will be without RB David Johnson (ankle). In Johnson’s place last week, Chase Edmonds rambled for 126 yards and three touchdowns. But the New Orelans defense hasn’t permitted a 100-yard rusher in 33 games.
Saints go Marching On
Like the Cardinals, the Saints are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games. Cardinals QB Murray hasn’t faced a defense as punishing as the one New Orleans will set out after him. The Saints menaced Jaguars rookie QB Gardner Minshew two weeks ago.
The Arizona Cardinals are currently 3-3-1.

Pick: New Orleans Saints -10.5 (-115).
