  • Money has been pouring in on Green Bay in the Titans vs Packers public betting splits ahead of Thursday Night Football in Week 11
  • The Packers opened up as 1-point favorites, but that line has already been bet up to -3.5
  • A comprehensive breakdown of the Titans vs Packers TNF betting splits is listed below

Are the Packers back? Is Tennessee as good as their record suggests, or are they simply a product of a cupcake schedule? These are just two of the questions we’re hoping to have answered tonight when the Titans (6-3, 3-2 away) travel to a frigid Green Bay to face the Packers (4-5, 3-2 home).

Judging by the NFL public betting trends throughout the week, it appears bettors believe that in either a Green Bay resurgence, or regression smacking Tennessee in the face.

The Packers opened up as 1-point favorites, but that line did not last long. Green Bay is now laying 3.5 points to its AFC opponent and is still drawing more than half of the spread money at the new number as of 1:30 pm EST this afternoon.

Titans vs Packers ATS Betting Splits

As of early Thursday afternoon, Green Bay is drawing 51% of the spread handle. That money is coming off of only 40% of the spread tickets, which means the big-money bettors who are taking action are laying the points with Aaron Rodgers and Co.

Speaking of the two-time reigning MVP, November, and specifically, games in sub-freezing conditions is where he shines brightest. Rodgers is 28-9 overall in contests with kickoff temperatures below 32 degrees. His career win percentage jumps from 67 percent to 76 percent in frigid conditions, and tonight’s forecast is calling for scattered flurries and temperatures that feel like 12 degrees.

Does that mean you should go racing to your favorite online sportsbook to bet Green Bay? One of our experts doesn’t think so in the Titans vs Packers picks. He points out that Green Bay is just 4-6 against the spread this season, which is a bottom-seven cover mark in the league.

Tennessee on the other hand has beaten the spread in seven straight games overall. That’s the longest active cover streak in the NFL, and they’re tied with the Giants for the best cover percentage (77.8%).

Tennessee vs Green Bay Total Betting Splits

The spread isn’t the only betting line to see significant movement ahead of Thursday Night Football. The total for the Tennessee vs Green Bay contest opened at 38.5 and reached as high as 42 before settling at 41.

At that current number, the under is garnering a slightly bigger handle (53% vs 47%), while the over is being backed by a higher percentage of tickets (53% vs 47%).

The Titans have been a cash cow for under bettors all season, as seven of their nine games have failed to eclipse the total. Tennessee averages just 18.5 points per game, the seventh fewest in the league, while they also boast a top-seven scoring defense.

NFL Top-5 Under Teams

Team Under Record Under % Total +/-
Denver Broncos 8-1 88.9% -11.6
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 8-2 80.0% -8.5
Indianapolis Colts 8.2 80.0% -7.1
Tennessee Titans 7-2 77.8% -6.2
Buffalo Bills 7-2 77.8% -4.6

Only two teams run more frequently than the Titans, and a run-heavy approach typically slows the game down and bleeds the clock. Who can blame Tennessee for that style of play, when Derrick Henry is lined up in the backfield. The NFL’s second-leading rusher has an extremely favorable matchup tonight against Green Bay’s bottom-three rush defense per DVOA.

The Packers have allowed a league-high six 150+ rushing games to opposing offenses, making Henry an enticing target in the Titans vs Packers player props.

Titans vs Packers Moneyline Betting Splits

As for the moneyline market, much like the spread wagering, Green Bay is drawing more money straight up, but Tennessee is garnering more tickets.

53% of the moneyline handle is on Green Bay, and their opponent’s laundry list of injuries in the Titans vs Packers injury report is likely a big reason why.

Four Tennessee starters, including pass rusher Bud Dupree and kicker Randy Bullock have already been ruled out, while two additional starters including defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons are questionable.

Green Bay is dealing with health issues of their own. Both linebacker De’Vondre Campbell and receiver Romeo Doubs are out, but help is coming to Rodgers’ pass corp. Randall Cobb has been activated from IR and is expected to play. The 32-year-old is one of Rodgers’ favorite targets, and caught seven balls for a season-high 99 yards in his last full game before suffering an ankle injury.
